The things worth knowing after setup
None of this is needed to start. All of it comes up eventually.
The two routes, side by side
Both give you exactly the same overlay and the same features. What differs is the upkeep.
| Feature | Browser extension | Pasting it yourself |
|---|---|---|
| Setting it up | Once, about 2 minutes | Under a minute |
| Every time you open ome.tv | Nothing to do | Copy and paste it again |
| After reloading the page | Still running | Paste it again |
| Keeping it up to date | Handled for you | You generate a fresh script |
| Needs anything installed | Included | Not included |
| Works where installing is blockedSchool and work computers usually block installing extensions. | Not included | Included |
| Overlay features you get | All of them | All of them |
You can switch at any time
Neither route is a commitment. Installing the extension later does not cost you anything you set up, and your account, VIP and history are untouched either way. Both are covered step by step in Getting started.
How many lookups you get
A free account has two pools of lookups, and you spend them one after the other. The welcome gift goes first, then a count that refills every morning.
600 to welcome you
A one-time gift, added the first time your account builds a script. It never expires, and it is the only thing counting down until it is gone.
Then 100 every day
Once the welcome lookups are used up, each lookup costs one of these. The count refills at 06:00 Warsaw time every morning — your Dashboard prints that on your own clock — so running out is never permanent.
No limit with VIP
VIP removes the counter entirely. Nothing to watch and nothing to run out of.
Running out does not break anything
The overlay keeps working, it just stops filling in the location until the next morning. Only one number is ever counting down, so a lookup never costs you two: your welcome lookups are yours to spend at whatever pace you like, and the daily 100 does not start until they are gone.
When you need a fresh script
Only relevant if you paste the script yourself. With the extension this is handled for you.
You changed browser or computer
A script is tied to the browser it was built in. Generate a new one on the machine you are actually using.
You think somebody else has seen it
Shared a screenshot, pasted it somewhere public? Generate a new one straight away. The old one stops working.
Your copy is old
Builds from a long time ago can behave oddly as the platform moves on. A fresh one takes seconds.
You updated your browser
A new browser version counts as a different device to the security check, so the old script stops being accepted.
One build per minute, and nothing is lost
Generating is limited to one script every 60 seconds. Regenerating never changes your VIP, your settings, your history or your allowance. It is a routine key change, not a reset.
How your script is protected
Your script is personal to you, which is why it is worth a moment of care.
Unreadable by design
The code is scrambled and encrypted. Nobody can open it up and take the protections out.
Locked to ome.tv
It only runs on ome.tv. Pasted anywhere else it silently does nothing at all.
Tied to your account
It carries a key that belongs to your account and your device. Regenerating cancels the old one.
Treat it like a password
Do not post it, do not share screenshots of it, do not paste it into other tools.
Using it on more than one computer
- Your account follows you, your script does not
Sign in with the same Discord account anywhere and your VIP, history, settings and allowance are all there. The script itself is built for one browser on one machine.
- Set up each computer on its own
Install the extension again, or generate a fresh script there. Do not carry a script across on a USB stick or in a chat message, it will not be accepted.
- The same applies to two browsers on one computer
Chrome and Edge on the same machine count as two separate setups, because the security check looks at the browser and not the person.
Still stuck?
Tell us which browser you are on, whether you use the extension or paste the script, and what you see on screen. Those three things save a whole round of questions.
