What changed

Every change to the extension, the overlay and this site that you can see or use, newest first. Each entry is written when the change is built and goes live with it.

  1. NewOverlay

38 new official edits in Community

Community has 38 new edits from us, on phonk, hardtekk and montagem songs such as MONTAGEM OCTUS, RADAHN, SLAYERTEKK, FUNK DEVIANT, EXTERMINATOR and The Sky Is Mine. Each one comes with its song, so Add to deck puts it straight into your deck with nothing to pick.

    ImprovedOverlay

Tidier Settings, with fewer rows that do nothing

    • Camera: with no effect picked, Strength, Look and Edge softness step aside. They come back as soon as you pick an effect.
    • Mini map: the switch now sits at the top of the Mini map group, with the map view, spin, pin and reset under it.
    • Games: your sets are a plain list instead of boxes inside a box.
    • Fixed: greyed out buttons now look greyed out. Before, a button you could not press looked the same as one you could.
    • Fixed: the stream overlay rows and the shortcut lists in Games, Replay and Edits now line up with every other row.
    ImprovedOverlay

Settings read at a glance, with an icon for every part

    • Every group has an icon that shows what it is for, so you can find Camera checks, Voice mask or Diagnostics by shape before you read a word.
    • Each section opens with a header that shows its icon and one line on what it does.
    • The sidebar shows each section on a small icon tile, and the open section lights up in your accent color.
    • Search results show which section each result comes from, with its icon.
    ImprovedOverlay

Settings are easier to find and to set

Every option is still there, sorted so you can find it faster.

    • Face Swap has its own section. It starts with the switch and a button to choose a face, then Fast, Balanced and Best presets that set every dial at once.
    • Long lists are split into short named groups. Camera now has Framing, Light and colour, and Frame rate and load. Microphone splits into the microphone, your voice and sound cleanup. Spectator has Picture and voice, Between strangers, Safety and Both browsers.
    • Options that belong to a switch sit under it. "Choppy means under" sits indented under "Skip choppy video", and the static lengths under "Static before a new stranger".
    • Every section fits in the sidebar without scrolling, with Changelog pinned at the bottom.
    • Fixed: options under a switch now grey out or come back as soon as you flip it. Before, some only updated after you closed and reopened Settings.
    ImprovedOverlay

The overlay's version has four numbers now

The overlay now numbers its versions the way browser extensions do, with four numbers. 66.5 is now written 6.6.5.0, and the order has not changed, so a newer overlay always has a higher number. Small fixes get a number of their own, like 6.6.5.1, instead of taking the next release's.

You will see the new form on the loading card, in Settings and on your dashboard. You do not need to do anything.

    ImprovedOverlay

Dropdowns that match the overlay, and a 60 fps camera

    • Every dropdown in the overlay now opens as a dark list in the overlay's own style, with a check on your current choice, instead of your system's white or grey menu. Arrow keys, typing to jump and Escape all work, and Escape now closes just the list, not Settings behind it. Firefox still shows its own menu for now.
    • Frames per second has a 60 option (Settings, Camera, with VIP). When you pick it, the overlay also asks your webcam to film at 60. Not every webcam can, so turn on Show what it costs to see the rate you are actually sending.
    FixedParty and Link

No more "relay is busy" warning on a working connection

Spectator, Party and the phone link could show "Our relay is busy right now" while the two browsers were already connected straight to each other and working. That warning now only shows when the connection really could not be made.

    FixedOverlay

Three Community edits can be added again

EMPTY glow, DRACARYS slowed and NO BATIDÃO red in Community came with their song, but pressing Add to deck ended in an error, so nobody could use them. They now go into your deck like the other official edits, song included.

    FixedOverlay

Chat translation works for short lines and Spanish

    • Quick messages are translated too. With "Send my messages in their language" on, pressing Enter right after typing used to send what you wrote. Now it sends the translation.
    • Short Spanish stays Spanish. Words like "hola" or "vale" were read as Catalan or Portuguese, so they went out untranslated or through the wrong language. Your language and the stranger's now count first.
    • Your first message after opening ome.tv is translated instead of going out as typed while the translator was still starting.
    • The stranger's messages are translated from the start of a session. Before, they could stay untranslated, with a "language pack is not downloaded" notice, until you turned translation off and on. Now your next click or key catches up on every waiting message.
  2. NewOverlay

Five new Edits styles, and a darker Mono

Edits have ten styles now. Pick one for any slot in Settings, Edits.

    • Mono is dark now. Crushed black and white, corners fading to black, film grain, a slow push in, and cuts to black on the beat.
    • Neon colours your picture from magenta to cyan, with a big glow and a pump of light on every kick.
    • Glitch breaks the picture apart with colour splits, stutters, inverts and lost tracking.
    • VHS looks like an old tape, with scanlines, bleeding colour and the picture slipping now and then.
    • Cinema is the trailer look: black bars, teal shadows, warm skin, cuts to black and the lens pulling focus.
    • Film is warm and grainy, with light leaking across the frame on the drop and the hits.

The move editor has a new Focus lane that takes your picture out of focus and back. Cuts to black sit in the Flash lane, and like flashes there are never more than two a second.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Show your own camera during Spectator and switch back

While a Spectator bridge is running, the camera pill on your preview now lists Spectator above your webcams. Pick a webcam to show your own face to your stranger, and pick Spectator to hand the picture back to the bridge, as often as you like.

While your own camera is on, your stranger hears you instead of the other stranger, and a short connection drop no longer switches you back to Spectator on its own.

    ImprovedDashboard

The new look reaches your dashboard and profiles

The site's new look now carries into the pages you use once you are signed in.

    • Your dashboard greets you in the same bold capitals as the rest of the site, and your numbers sit in one row of large condensed figures under a strong line. They rise into place one after another when the page opens, and the level and lookup bars fill as they land.
    • Your VIP time is one line beside the greeting instead of a gold box, and the VIP badge that repeated it next to your name is gone.
    • Every section of the dashboard and the VIP panel opens with a title in the same capitals, without the small icon beside it.
    • The VIP panel opens the same way as the dashboard.
    • On a member's profile, the numbers under their name sit on the same row of figures as your dashboard, and each one still opens its breakdown when you point at it or tap it. Section titles use the same capitals and rise into view as you scroll to them.
    • The activity graph on a profile fills in week by week the first time you scroll to it.
    • A long name on a profile no longer breaks in the middle of a word. The Share card and Customise buttons sit under the name instead.
    • With reduced motion turned on in your system, all of it simply appears.
    ImprovedCamera and sound

Face Swap keeps up with your head

The swapped face could trail behind you. The camera picture moved at once, but the face on top of it showed a moment that had already passed, most of all when you turned your head or talked. It now keeps up much better.

    • Face Swap follows your face from frame to frame on its own outline, so finding it in each frame takes about half as long as before.
    • A new swap starts as soon as the last one is done, so your face is redrawn more often every second.
    • The finishing work on each swap (matching your lighting, steadying the skin, sharpening) takes less time, and in compatibility mode each result is picked up straight away instead of waiting its turn behind the page.
    • It helps most where the lag was worst: on a busy computer, and when Face Swap runs in compatibility mode.
    ImprovedOverlay

Edits move at 60 fps, with slow motion and speed ramps

Edits are smoother. While an edit plays, its knocks, zooms and tilts are drawn 60 times a second instead of at your camera's rate, so the drop snaps cleanly instead of juddering. If your computer cannot keep up, the edit goes back to your camera's rate by itself. You can turn this off under Smooth motion in Settings, Edits.

Edits can also play with time now. Your picture slows down on the beat, then whips back to live, the way speed ramps look in TikTok edits. The song keeps its own pace.

    • Choose Speed ramps in Settings, Edits, under Motion, and Auto Edit adds a ramp that lands on every hit.
    • Choose Ramps and slow motion to also get slow motion just after the drop and every two bars.
    • Place them by hand in the new Speed lane of the move editor. Try it shows them on your private preview first.
    • Speed ramps stay off until you turn them on.
    FixedOverlay

Locked panels show a padlock instead of losing their close button

When your panels were locked, panels like Spectator lost their close button and would not move, with nothing saying why. A locked panel now shows a padlock where the close button was. Press it to unlock, and the close button and dragging come back. Trying to drag a locked panel now tells you the panels are locked.

  3. NewWebsite

    kicktools.pl is our partner

If you stream your ome.tv calls on Kick, kicktools.pl is made for the rest of your stream: free OBS widgets, alerts, a chat bot, polls and giveaways. It is in Polish and made by the OME team.

    • The new Partners page lists it, and so does the footer.
    • The home page and the dashboard, next to your OBS stream banner, point to it.
    • Ask in our Discord how to stream on Kick and the help desk answers with the overlay's Streaming settings and kicktools.pl.
    ImprovedOverlay

A link for Kick streamers in Settings

Settings, Streaming now ends with "Streaming on Kick?": one button to kicktools.pl, the OME team's free tool for alerts, a chat bot and goal bars on Kick. It is in Polish.

  4. ImprovedDashboard

The Script tab shows our pin

On phones and other devices that skip the 3D picture on the Script tab, the status card now shows the OME.UNDFND pin instead of a small icon in a coloured box. The rows under it, the build progress card, the install confirmation and the fix walkthroughs lost their icon boxes as well, and the walkthroughs no longer glow in the corner.

    ImprovedDashboard

Quieter labels on the Script tab

The small status lines on the Script tab, like "Live now" and "Action needed", are written normally instead of in spaced-out capitals. The welcome pack window lost the label above its title.

    ImprovedDashboard

    Plainer wording in the dashboard

A few lines read like an advert. They now say what happens.

    • Auto renew in your wallet says your balance is charged when VIP runs out, and how much to top up when the balance is short.
    • After a case opens, the button says "Back to the shelf", and the jackpot and bonus case headings lost their exclamation marks.
    • The setup window opens on "Let's get you set up", without the sparkle icon.
    ImprovedOverlay

The overlay wears the new look too

The overlay and the ome.tv page under it now use the same true black and neutral greys as the site's new look, instead of blue-tinted ones.

    • Cards, menus, pickers and text in the overlay are neutral grey and black.
    • ome.tv's own chat, popups and dropdowns follow, so the page under the overlay matches it.
    • Text boxes and dropdowns in the overlay have a clearer outline, so it is easier to see where to type or pick.
    ImprovedWebsite

Page titles match across the site

The Store, Top up, Members, State of OME.TV and the extension permissions page now open the same way as Statistics, Guides and the FAQ: one large title on the left with a single line under it. The small labels and icons that sat above or beside some of those titles are gone.

    ImprovedDashboard

    The dashboard uses one colour

Every dashboard section used to wear its own colour: purple for the affiliate program, cyan for your activity, pink for Play, red for your account. They now share the site's blue, and the VIP panel is gold throughout. Green and red are left for what they mean, like money in and money out. The reward cards lost their coloured icon tiles, and their big numbers read in white.

    ImprovedWebsite

A new look for the site

The site has a new look, rolling out piece by piece.

    • The background is true black, with neutral greys instead of blue-tinted ones, so the blue buttons are the only colour that stands out.
    • Big page titles are set in bold condensed capitals, the same lettering as our Chrome Web Store pictures and the Extension 2.0 trailer.
    • The top bar is a floating pane of frosted glass, and the phone menu opens as a matching glass panel.
    • Buttons are rounded pills, and the main ones stay blue.
    • The home page headline ends on a blue block that sweeps in as the title lands.
    • The dashboard and the VIP panel open without a box around your name, and your numbers sit in one clean ruled row.
    • Page titles rise into place line by line when a page opens, and section headings do the same as you scroll to them. With reduced motion turned on in your system, they simply appear.
    • Section headings on the store, guides, blog, FAQ, help and feature pages use the same capitals as the page titles, without the small icons beside them.
    • The FAQ's help boxes, the guides (their cards, steps and the related guides at the end) and the field list on the IP lookup page lost their icons in coloured boxes.
    • The card that offers your language lost its coloured strip, icon box and blinking dot.
    • Progress bars on the canvas page are plain blue instead of a blue to cyan fade.
    • The sign-up card at the end of the IP lookup page has a plain blue edge instead of a gradient one.
    • The VIP panel's countdown, the affiliate stream overlay cards, and the rewards page's notices and holiday giveaway card lost their icon boxes.
    • The sparkle icon is gone: "See VIP" buttons show the VIP crown, and everywhere else the icon now matches what it marks, from the canvas and map controls to Cases, your wallet and your profile.
    • The sign-in page counts its members in the same condensed figures as the home page.
    • The last navy-tinted panels (the map frames, the demos on the home page, the phone camera page, tooltips) use the same neutral greys as the rest of the site, and the Discord buttons on the setup and verification pages are the site's blue.
    • Cards that wait on you or are the recommended choice (the setup page's current step, the recommended install route, the FAQ's help box) are marked with a thin blue edge instead of a blue tint.
    • The State of Ome.tv report uses the site's section headings and cards, and its questions and method read at the same size as the FAQ. The provably fair checker shows its results on the same cards as its form.
    • Small labels across the site (top-up steps, the Script tab, your balance history, profile settings) are written normally instead of in tiny spaced-out capitals.
    • The Script tab's status card and the two version cards under it share one calm look, with no coloured glow or tint behind them.
    • The "page not found" screen is rebuilt in the new style, with the address that failed and two ways back.
    • Your weekly recap chart is drawn in the site's blue, and the sparkle bursts on a few dashboard buttons are gone.
    • Keys you need to press, such as F12, Ctrl + V and Enter, look like the same keyboard key everywhere: the Script tab, the troubleshooter and the search.
    • The site search sits on the same solid panel as the site's other windows, and its descriptions and hints are easier to read.
    • On the affiliate tab, the creator kit and the commission tiers sit on the same cards as the rest of the tab. Your current tier and your available balance are marked with a thin blue edge, and the promo format picker matches the site's other switches.
    • On the State of Ome.tv report, the notes under the charts are easier to read, and the timezone and copy buttons match the site's other buttons.
    • The gender split on your activity page and on the State of Ome.tv report uses the same blue and pink as the overlay, so it reads the same way everywhere.
    ImprovedDashboard

    Rewards opens like a page

The Rewards page now opens with a proper title and one line under it, like the rest of the site, instead of a small panel heading with an icon. The greetings on the dashboard and the VIP panel share one title size.

    ImprovedWebsite

Guides, blog posts and legal pages open the same way

Guide and blog titles now use the same size as the other page titles. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy open on the left above their contents, with the dates on one plain line instead of a centred title under a label.

    FixedWebsite

    Small fixes on the site

    • With reduced motion turned on in your system, the dots under the VIP feature demos were too small to tap reliably on a phone. Each one now has a full size touch area, and a screen reader names the feature it shows.
    • The troubleshooter's picture of the red bar on ome.tv showed old wording. It now shows what the bar really says, "Click here for the 30-second fix", so it is easier to match to your screen.
    • On a computer where the 3D picture on the Script tab could not start, the status card showed an empty space. It now shows our pin there instead.
    • Voice control and screen readers now get the search button, your account button and the canvas Interface menu by the names they show on screen.
    • While a sale is on, the VIP page and the store no longer redraw the whole page a moment after it opens. The sale countdown caused it.
    • The provably fair checker names the prize your roll lands on, such as "3 days VIP", instead of an internal code.
    • Opening the site search now dims the whole page. Before, only the top bar went dark, the page showed through the results, and clicking beside the search did not close it.
    • Scrolling over a long list of search results now moves the list instead of the page behind it.
    • On a phone or tablet, the search no longer lists keyboard shortcuts you cannot use, and a single match reads "1 result".
    • On a translated page, the key names in the troubleshooter (F12, Ctrl, Enter) stay as they are printed on your keyboard.
    • On the home page, the browsers you can pick under "Will it run in your browser?" now light up when you point at them. Before, the hover made them a shade darker, which nobody could see.
    • Closing the site search with Esc, the close button or a click beside it puts the keyboard back on the search button, instead of sending the next Tab to the top of the page.
  5. NewExtension

    A privacy shield for ome.tv

The extension popup now has two tabs, Loader and Privacy. In Privacy you can turn on a fingerprint shield that makes ome.tv see a steady decoy instead of your real browser, so you are harder to recognise between visits. It leaves your language, screen and system details alone, so the decoy stays consistent and does not make you stand out.

    • Stable decoy: one steady decoy for this browser.
    • New each session: a fresh decoy each time you open ome.tv, so your visits are harder to link.

It is off by default, and it is privacy only: it does not change your IP or network address. Reload ome.tv after you turn it on.

    ImprovedPayments

A clearer store and top-up page

The store is laid out like a checkout now. The plans sit in one list on the left, each with its length and its price per day, and your order sits on the right: the plan, your balance, what is left after paying and the one button. On a computer the order stays beside you while you read the questions further down.

    • The language menu on the store and top-up pages opens in the site's own style instead of your system's plain list.
    • The top-up page and its order pages use the same headings and summary card as the store.
    ImprovedOverlay

The whole overlay in your language

Everything that still showed up in English is now translated into Polish, German, Dutch, Spanish, Czech, French, Romanian and Latvian. That covers the Automations editor and every block in it, the Soundboard, Edits, Replay, Spectator, Chat decides, Community, saved configurations and layouts, and the new settings menu.

The overlay follows the language your account is already set to, so there is nothing to change or reinstall.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

See your camera and mic on your own video

Hover over your own video and two pills appear at the bottom: Camera and Microphone, each with the name of the device you are using right now. Click one to see everything plugged in, with a check mark on the one in use, and pick another to switch. When your phone, a picture or video, or another input is going out instead of your webcam, the Camera pill says that instead.

They used to sit on the control bar over the stranger's side, and the site's own pickers only appear when you have a second device, so with one camera and one mic you could not see what was in use at all.

    FixedWebsite

Ads stop popping up on every click

On a free account, the site could open a new ad window every few clicks, which made the dashboard hard to use. Ad windows now come rarely, with a long break between them, so you can click around and get things done.

Links and buttons also stopped working for some members after an ad window was blocked. Clicks now always go through.

    FixedCamera and sound

Pick a camera even when ome.tv says you denied access

When ome.tv showed "You have denied access to your devices", the Camera and Microphone pills on your own video had nothing you could pick. That happened after closing the camera prompt, when Windows blocked the camera, when you had no microphone plugged in, or when ome.tv refused your camera by its name (OBS and other virtual cameras).

Now the pills stay on screen while ome.tv has no camera, and picking a device in them starts it for ome.tv directly. If the browser itself blocks the camera, the pill says so and tells you where to allow it.

  6. NewOverlay

Your sounds, camera files and edits follow you to any browser

Your soundboard sounds, the pictures and videos on your camera's media deck, your background picture and your Edits deck with its songs are now saved to your account. Sign in on another browser, or after reinstalling the extension, and they come back by themselves. Saving works on every account, free included.

The files are private to your account. The ones you already added on this browser are saved the next time the overlay starts, and they are kept for as long as you keep using the overlay: 90 days without a sign-in deletes them. Turn saving off, or delete your files from your account, in Settings, General, Your files.

    NewPayments

VIP has its own store page

Buying VIP now happens on its own page, the store, instead of a pop-up window. All five plans sit side by side with their price per day, and the checkout under them shows your balance before and after the plan you pick. If you are short, one button opens the top-up page with the missing amount filled in, and the plan you picked comes along.

The Buy button on the VIP page, Extend and Reactivate on your dashboard, Store in your account menu and the footer, and the Buy and Renew VIP buttons in our Discord messages open it. You can still enter a code, buy as a gift, and redeem your code the moment you pay. The store is in English and Polish, with no ads.

    NewPayments

Every top-up has its own page

Each top-up now has a page that shows where it is, what to do next, and how long top-ups like it usually take, worked out from the ones approved recently. A crypto top-up shows how long the network itself takes once your payment is seen.

The page is written in English and Polish, with a language menu at the top. Notifications about a top-up open its page, you can turn on browser notifications from there, and every top-up in your history now has a Details link.

    NewOverlay

Camera and mic picker on the control bar

A camera and microphone button on the control bar lets you switch hardware devices without leaving the call. Hover over the button to see what is plugged in and pick a different one.

The Face Analyze panel now uses tabs: Faces shows the live detection, Results shows your latest search. No more juggling two windows.

    ImprovedPayments

See when your top-up method is quickest

The top-up page and each top-up's own page now show how long your payment method usually takes by the hour it was sent and by the day of the week, from the last 90 days. The bar for right now, or for the hour your top-up was sent, is highlighted, so you can tell whether sending it now or in the morning gets it approved sooner. Point at any bar, or use the arrow keys, to read its figure.

    • The store is easier to read: the three steps to pay run across the page, and the answers to common questions are shown in full instead of hidden behind the questions.
    • A rejected top-up now ends its timeline on a clear red mark instead of a grey dot that looked unfinished.
    ImprovedPayments

Topping up has its own page

Topping up your balance now happens on its own page instead of a pop-up window. You choose the amount and the payment method on one screen, and each method shows how long it usually takes, worked out from recent approved top-ups. A summary beside it shows your balance before and after, bonus included.

The balance button in the top bar and the Recharge Balance button on your dashboard open it. When you are short for a VIP plan, it opens with the missing amount filled in and shows what will be left after you buy. The browser's back button goes back a step, and a refresh keeps your place. The page is in English and Polish, the amount box takes a comma or a dot, and there are no ads on the top-up pages.

    ImprovedPayments

The store and top-up pages in more languages

The store, the top-up page and each top-up's own page are now also written in German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Romanian, Czech and Latvian, the languages the rest of the site speaks. The page picks your browser's language, and the menu at the top switches it.

  7. ImprovedOverlay

Your Edits songs are easier to add, hear and remove

Settings, Edits now shows every change the moment you make it. A song you remove leaves the list right away, a song you add appears while it is being read, and emptying a slot clears it on the spot.

    • Add several songs at once, or drop the files anywhere on Settings, Edits.
    • Listen to any of your songs from its row, and see which slots it is in. A song in no slot has its own Add to deck button.
    • An empty slot shows only its song list, and a deck with no songs yet tells you how to start.
    • Removing a song asks first when a slot on it has moves you placed by hand.
    • A slot set to its second or third drop shows that drop again when you come back.
  8. NewCamera and sound

Place an edit's moves yourself, and try it in private

Settings, Edits has a move editor. Press the sliders button on a slot to open it.

    • Six lanes (Flash, Shake, Zoom, Tilt, Split and Stutter) on every half beat, from the beat before the drop to the end of the edit. Press a square to place a move or take it away. Auto Edit's moves are where you start, and Back to Auto Edit returns to them.
    • Try it plays the edit on a preview of your own camera, with the song in your ears only, and lights up the beat you are hearing. Nobody on the call sees or hears it.
    • Fill a whole lane in one press: every beat, every half beat, every bar, on the song's kicks or snares, or nowhere. Undo takes back your last changes.
    • Move the drop a beat earlier or later when the edit should start somewhere else. Your moves go with it.
    • Flashes are still kept to two a second. A flash that would go over is drawn half lit, and plays softer.
    • An edit with moves you placed can be shared in Community like any other, and its card says the moves were placed by hand.
    NewOverlay

    Share your edits in Community

Settings, Community has an Edits shelf: edits other members made, ready to add to your deck and play.

    • Share one of yours from Settings, Edits with the globe button on its slot. Leave Share the song with it on, and the part of the song the edit plays goes with it, so anyone can play the edit straight away.
    • Press Add to deck on an edit marked Song included and the song lands in your songs with it. There is nothing to find first.
    • Turn the song off and only a fingerprint of its rhythm around the drop goes. To use an edit like that, press Add to deck and choose your own copy of the song. It is listened to in your browser to find the drop, even when it is sped up or slowed down. If your copy sounds a little different you are asked first, and if it is another song nothing is added.
    • Change an edit you added and it becomes yours to share, credited to the one it came from.
    NewCamera and sound

Edits make your camera move to a song

A new Edits button on the control bar opens a deck of eight edits. Press one and a song plays into the call while your picture hits on its beat, like a cut made in an editor: a crash zoom on the drop, knocks on the kicks that ring out, flashes that bloom, punch-ins, tilts and colour splits, with motion blur on every fast move. Press it again to stop.

    • Add any song you have in Settings, Edits. It is analysed in your browser to find the beat and the drop, and it stays in your browser unless you share it with an edit.
    • Choose a style for each edit, how many bars it runs and which drop it starts on. Mono is hard black and white, Vivid is rich colour, Phonk is red and black with the hardest hits, Dream is soft and glowing with no flashes, and Clean keeps your own colours. Every style lifts a dim room so your face stays readable. Remix makes new moves for the same song.
    • Flashes are kept to two a second, and your face stays visible through every one.
    NewOverlay

    The Base Pack in Community

OME.UNDFND now shares its own themes, configurations, layouts, game sets and edits in Community. They carry OME.UNDFND on their card, so you can tell them from what members shared.

    • Press Base Pack in Settings, Community to see only those, on any shelf. Press it again to see everything members shared too.
    • The Base Pack has edits for popular phonk and funk songs, among them FUNK DO BOUNCE, NO BATIDÃO, MONTAGEM BRAVO and CaliMan. Add your own copy of the song and the drop is found in it, even in a slowed or sped up version.
    • Load or add one like anything else in Community, then make it your own and share your version.
    ImprovedWebsite

    The tab highlight slides

In the boxed tabs (your affiliate earnings and referrals, profile settings), the highlight now slides to the tab you pick instead of jumping. With reduced motion on, it moves at once.

    ImprovedWebsite

    The sidebar highlight slides too

On a wide screen, the dashboard and VIP panel sidebars now slide their highlight to the section you pick, including into a group as it opens. With reduced motion on, it moves at once.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

    Reactions are drawn, not emoji

The reactions on your picture are now drawings in the same style as the camera games: glossy hearts, a laughing face, flames, clapping hands, a surprised face, a party popper, a waving hand and a thumbs up, all lit from above with a soft shadow. They look the same on every computer instead of each system's own emoji.

    • The Reactions and Zooms tabs of the pad show small drawings of what each one does.
    • The wave card for a fellow member shows a drawn hand.
    ImprovedWebsite

Guides and blog posts say it plainly

Twenty sentences across the guides and the blog were written as a dramatic reveal or as a list of everything that is missing. They now state the fact directly, with the same meaning and the same links. For example, the first takeaway of the post on userscripts and extensions now reads "OME.UNDFND is a browser extension on the Chrome Web Store, not a userscript."

    ImprovedWebsite

Guide titles carry you into the guide

Open a guide from the guides page and its title travels from the card you picked into the heading of the guide, and back again when you return through the breadcrumb. The guide's heading also shows straight away instead of fading in. With reduced motion on, pages simply switch.

    ImprovedWebsite

Guides open on the left, in line with the text

Each guide now opens with its title, introduction and details on the left, in line with the contents list and the guide itself. The guide's topic moved from a label above the title to the start of the line with the date and reading time.

    ImprovedOverlay

Drawn icons for the gender picker

With the ome.tv theme on, the "I am" picker and its list show clean line symbols in the theme's colours instead of ome.tv's cartoon faces.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Game set colours are easier to tell apart

The Sunset, Ocean, Forest, Candy and Mono colours for your own game sets are redrawn.

    • The two This or that cards are now two clearly different colours in every theme, and their words read in white. Before, Sunset, Ocean, Forest and Mono gave both cards nearly the same colour.
    • Next to each other, the segments of the topic wheel step between light and dark, so you can still tell them apart while it spins.
    • The frame around the Draw and guess board now shows on the white paper in every theme.
    ImprovedOverlay

Add a Community edit with your own copy of the song in one go

Pressing Add to deck on an edit that needs your own copy of the song now asks for it right there. Pick one of your songs, or choose the file on your computer, and the drop is found in it.

    • No more trip to Settings, Edits first when you have no songs yet.
    • A file that turns out to be another song is not kept, and you are told so.
    ImprovedOverlay

Draw and guess takes a guess in any language

When you draw a word from a built-in set, the stranger can now type the answer in the chat in any of the nine game languages. You draw "dog" in English and "pies", "perro" or "Hund" counts too. Your own word sets still match only their own language.

    ImprovedWebsite

Copy buttons confirm with a small tick

On the dashboard, copying a code, a link or your key now brings the tick in with a small spring, so you can see the copy worked. With reduced motion on, the tick simply appears.

    ImprovedWebsite

    Calmer Community Canvas panels

The Missions, Boards, Collection, Teams, Discover, Replay and Territory panels on the Community Canvas lost the coloured glow in their corner and the tinted box around their icon. Each opens with its icon in its own colour beside the title, the way the panels on your dashboard already do.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

    The camera games are redrawn

The games on your picture are drawn with depth and light now. The coin is struck gold with a raised rim: it shows its edge as it spins, lands with a small bounce and catches the light. The dice are ivory with dished pips. Higher or lower deals real playing cards face down and turns them over. The topic wheel has pegs, a ring of lights and a pointer that clicks past each segment.

    • Rock paper scissors shows a stone, a sheet of paper and a pair of scissors.
    • The score, the stranger's call on the coin, the timer and every word sit on dark glass plates, so they read on any wall.
    • The games use no emoji, on your picture or in the Games tab and the game bar. In This or that, the buttons show each card's colour next to its key.
    • Drawing the games takes less of your computer than before.
    FixedOverlay

The session recap counts time on calls

The session recap after Stop now needs at least five minutes spent on calls. A run that sat waiting for a long time with only a few seconds of talking no longer gets a card. Session summary in the command palette still opens it whenever you like.

    FixedCamera and sound

Reactions and games are no longer cut off at the edge

Ome.tv shows your camera in a square, which trims the sides of the picture. Reactions and camera games sat right at the edge, so part of them was trimmed away, on your preview and on the stranger's screen. They now sit inside the part of the picture everyone can see.

    FixedOverlay

The provider score counts its votes in signs

Hovering the location score in the info panel shows how many members confirmed the location and how many said it was wrong. It now reads +14 / −3 instead of using thumbs emoji.

    FixedDashboard

    Plainer messages on the dashboard

The short messages that pop up after you do something now say what happened and stop there, without exclamation marks or emoji.

    • Redeeming a code says "Code redeemed. Your VIP is on."
    • Saving, changing or deleting a rating or a note says just that.
    • Finishing setup, connecting the script, copying a code and claiming the welcome pack read the same calm way.
    FixedOverlay

Game sounds stop with the game, and a protected stranger is not shown as skipped

    • Pressing Done while the topic wheel spins stops its ticking at once. Before, the clicks ran on to the end of the spin, and pressing Again during rock paper scissors counted 3, 2, 1 twice over each other.
    • When chat votes to skip a stranger that one of your automations protects, the bar over the video now says the skip was blocked, instead of "Chat skips them" for the rest of the call.
    • In speed rounds, a protected stranger is shown as kept when the time runs out, instead of a ring stuck at 0:00.
    FixedWebsite

Canvas lists show painters with an icon

On the Community Canvas, the Discover and Live lists counted painters with an emoji. They now use the same person icon as the rest of the canvas panels, and an empty Discover gallery says "No builds here yet".

    FixedCamera and sound

    Camera games behave better

    • After a coin toss nobody called, the heads and tails buttons work again straight away, without another toss first.
    • A topic wheel, This or that or Draw and guess that was still loading no longer pops up after you pressed Done or started a different game.
    • In Higher or lower, a second press while the card is still being dealt is ignored, and the right or wrong sound plays as the card turns over, not before.
    • With the keyboard, Space and Enter on a game bar button now press that button.
    FixedWebsite

The ad blocker notice fits small phones

On a small phone, the dashboard's ad blocker notice started under the menu bar and its top could not be scrolled to. It now opens below the menu bar, and all of it scrolls into view.

    RemovedOverlay

Replay no longer looks for moments

Replay's best moments are gone. That includes the pill above the Replay mark, the Save the best moments button and shortcut, and the Find the best moments and Moment sensitivity settings. Replay stopped listening for the times you and the stranger both got loud.

Saving works as before: Save replay keeps all of it, Save the last few seconds keeps a short clip, and Save this call (or a right click on the Replay mark) keeps the person on screen.

    RemovedCamera and sound

The emoji face cover is gone

Cover with no longer offers An emoji, and the Which emoji picker went with it. If you had it picked, your face is now hidden with Soft blur. Big pixels and Bar over the eyes work as before.

  9. NewCamera and sound

    Make your own game sets

Settings, Games has a place for sets of your own: topics for the wheel, pairs for This or that, and words for Draw and guess.

    • Type one per line: an emoji first if you like for a topic, a slash between the two sides of a pair (🐶 Dog / 🐱 Cat), and after a bar any other word a guess may use (car | auto).
    • Give each set a name, its language and one of six colour themes. The editor tells you what it could not read while you type.
    • Your sets are saved to your account, so they follow you to any browser. They show up on the game's bar under Yours, and Play takes you straight into the game.
    NewCamera and sound

Topic wheel and This or that

Two new games on the Games tab of your reactions pad, made for the first minute of a call, in nine languages.

    • Topic wheel: a wheel of eight topics spins on your picture and stops on one, and you talk about it. Pick plain topics or short questions. It never lands on the same one twice until the whole set has come up.
    • This or that: two cards, like dog or cat. Press the one the stranger picks. Press your own first, in secret, and your picture shows whether you matched, with a count of your matches.

The bar above your camera picks the set and its language, so the words can be in the stranger's language: English, Polish, German, Dutch, Spanish, Czech, French, Romanian or Latvian.

    NewOverlay

Keep a conversation after it ends

With Replay on, a good conversation is no longer lost the moment you press Next.

    • Keep that call? When a long call ends, a small card over the video offers to save it. One press saves the whole call, from the moment they connected to the moment it ended, even if the next person is already on screen. Choose how long a call has to be, or turn it off, in Settings, Replay.
    • Last connections shows how long each call lasted and how it ended: you ended it, they left, or which rule skipped them. While Replay still holds a call, its row has a Save button.

Saving works the same as before: the file goes to your downloads and nothing is uploaded.

    NewCamera and sound

    Game sets in Community

Settings, Community has a Game sets shelf: topics for the wheel, pairs for This or that and words for Draw and guess, made by other members.

    • Pick a game, a language or both to see only those sets. Each card shows a few of its items, its colour theme and how many members use it.
    • Add puts a copy in your own sets in Settings, Games, saved to your account. When its author publishes a newer version, the card offers the update.
    • Share any set you made, from Settings, Games or from Share yours in Community. Its words show on the cameras of the members who play it, so every word is checked first, and a set with words the filter catches waits for a review before anyone else sees it.
    • Find more in Community, in Settings, Games, opens the shelf in your language.
    NewCamera and sound

    Draw and guess

A new game on the Games tab of your reactions pad. You get a word only you can see and draw it on a white board in the corner of your picture, while the stranger guesses.

    • When they say it, press Guessed! or Enter. When they type it in the ome.tv chat, the overlay notices on its own, right on your computer, and calls it.
    • Your picture shows a clock and a blank for each letter, and at the end the word, with the time it took when they got it.
    • Choose how long there is to guess in Settings, Games: 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds, or no limit.
    • Two sets of words, Easy and Harder, in English, Polish, German, Dutch, Spanish, Czech, French, Romanian and Latvian.
    NewCamera and sound

Play games with the stranger on your picture

The reactions pad has a Games tab: tic-tac-toe, a coin flip, dice, rock paper scissors and higher or lower. The game appears in a corner of your own picture, so the stranger sees it and plays along by talking or with their hand, and it never covers more than a quarter of your picture.

    • Tic-tac-toe: click a square on your picture, or press 1 to 9. You place their mark when they tell you where. The score is kept for each stranger.
    • Coin flip: a toss that lands on a crown or a 1.
    • Dice: one or two, rolled on your picture.
    • Rock paper scissors: 3, 2, 1, and your camera shows its hand.
    • Higher or lower: they guess, you press it, and the run of right guesses counts up.

Everything on the picture is symbols and numbers, so it works whatever language the stranger speaks.

    ImprovedPayments

Any screenshot of your transfer works for a top-up

When you top up by bank transfer, PayPal or Revolut, the recharge window used to ask for a "sent" or "completed" status, so many of you went looking for the screen your bank shows right after sending. You do not need that one. Any screenshot that shows the amount, the date and who sent the money works, like the transfer's details in your bank app's history. The example picture now looks like that screen, with those three things numbered.

If you are in Poland, the BLIK transfer to a phone number (Przelew na numer) now walks you through it in Polish, from the instructions to the confirmation after you send.

    ImprovedWebsite

    Tabs that slide

On the statistics page, the line under the tabs now slides to the tab you pick instead of blinking from one to the other. With reduced motion turned on it moves straight there.

    ImprovedOverlay

Replay clips show every camera whole

Side by side and stacked clips used to crop each camera to fill its half, so faces near the edge of the picture were cut off. Now every camera fits its half whole, and the clip itself is shaped to hold two webcam pictures.

    • A phone held upright, or a widescreen camera, no longer sits on black bars: a soft, dimmed copy of the same picture fills the space around it.
    • With you in a corner, the small picture takes the shape of your camera, so none of it is cut off either.
    • The ome.undfnd.eu mark is now a small dark label in the top right corner. It stays readable on a bright wall, and video players no longer cover it with their controls.
    ImprovedCamera and sound

Reactions that stay in a corner, and five zooms

Reactions on your own picture move like they mean it now: hearts float up and sway, a laugh pops in and wobbles, applause lands on a beat and a confetti cannon fires. A wave and a thumbs up joined them. They play in a corner of your picture, away from your face, and never cover more than a quarter of it, so your camera still looks like you.

    • A Zooms tab with five moves aimed at your face: the dramatic zoom, a snap zoom, a slow push, a shake and a pull back.
    • Hold a reaction down to keep it coming. While the pad is open, the number keys fire what it shows.
    • The pad gets your picture ready as it opens, so the first reaction appears straight away.
    • Lines drawn with the pen cover a quarter of your picture at most; older lines fade to make room.
    ImprovedWebsite

Page titles without the label above them

The changelog, features, contact, setup, provably fair and community automations pages open on their title. The small label that used to sit above each one only repeated it.

    ImprovedWebsite

Matching corners on the home page videos

The trailer and the demo videos on the home page and the feature pages now have the same rounded corners as every other picture on the site, and as ome.tv with the overlay installed.

    ImprovedOverlay

Last connections reads like a call log

Each row in Last connections now tells you more about the call.

    • The time on a row is the call itself, from the moment the stranger connected until the call ended. The search for the next person no longer counts toward it.
    • "You ended it" appears only when you ended the call while the stranger was still there. Pressing Next after they had already left keeps the row at "They left".
    • Every row shows the time the call started, so the person from half an hour ago is easy to find.
    • The stranger on screen right now is marked "On call now".
    • Calls long enough to be a real conversation are highlighted, so they stand out in the list.
    ImprovedWebsite

Plainer labels on the IP lookup page

The IP lookup page no longer repeats its own name in a label above the title, and the sign-in card under it reads in ordinary sentence case.

    ImprovedOverlay

Strangers who hide their IP address are skipped

When a stranger's call reaches you only through a relay server, there is no address of theirs to look up. The overlay now skips them straight away, where it used to keep them on screen with a panel saying their address is hidden.

Your session recap counts them under Hidden IP.

    ImprovedWebsite

A plainer header on the guides page

The guides page opens like the rest of the site: the title on the left with the number of guides beside it, the same introduction, and the four topics to jump to.

    ImprovedWebsite

    Guide checklists read as lists

In the guides, short lists of things to have or to check (what you need before you start, how to tell it worked) are plain rows now, each with its name and one line, instead of a grid of small cards.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Camera games keep score and make sounds

The games on your reactions pad know who won now, and can sound like it.

    • One score for the call. You are X, the stranger is O. A tic-tac-toe line, a round of rock paper scissors, a called coin and a dice duel all add to one score above the game. Hide it with the Score button; every new stranger starts at 0 : 0.
    • Rock paper scissors: after your camera shows its hand, press the hand the stranger showed, and the winner's hand grows.
    • Call the coin: press heads or tails for the stranger before you flip. The coin shows if they were right.
    • Dice duel: your die on the left, theirs on the right, and the higher one wins.
    • Game sounds: a drumroll under the dice, a ring under the coin, a fanfare for a win. Choose who hears them in Settings, Games: only you (the default), you and the stranger, or nobody.
    ImprovedWebsite

    Calmer FAQ headings

The FAQ's category headings are plain text now, and the count of categories and questions under the title no longer carries icons.

    ImprovedExtension

The extension checks for updates when you open ome.tv

Opening ome.tv now makes the Chrome Web Store extension ask the store for a newer version right away. New versions reach you sooner than with Chrome's own check, which only runs every few hours.

When a new version is ready, the update card lets you switch straight away or later.

    ImprovedOverlay

    Configurations can carry your shortcuts

Shortcuts is now one of the parts you can tick when you save a configuration in Settings > Configs and layouts. Loading it puts your whole keyboard map back, and Undo takes it back for a minute like any other load. Untick it to leave your keys out, including on a configuration you share to Community. Shortcuts you gave your own automations stay as they are.

    ImprovedWebsite

The Cases tab rests when you scroll past it

The Case Terminal's lights, shimmer and floating case now pause while they are scrolled out of view and pick up again when you come back, so the Cases tab asks much less of your phone or laptop while you read further down. Nothing changes on screen.

    ImprovedWebsite

    A calmer sign-in card

The sign-in card is one plain card now. The glow around it, the pulsing icon and the shine across the button are gone, and the button works the same.

    ImprovedOverlay

    Every button answers the mouse

    • Buttons and switches that are already on still light up under the mouse, so you can see that pressing them turns them off: the config sections and the Share dialog's shelves, Party's listening chips and its Unmute, the phone remote's torch, cover and mute, and a note vote you gave.
    • A few controls showed nothing at all under the mouse and now do: Party's two menus (which also show a hand cursor now), a note's expiry menu, the pen's colours, the accent colour swatch, Buy VIP in Settings, the chat's title bar, an empty soundboard pad, the folded notes in the passport and Face Swap, and "Add it to OBS".
    • The words "Pause all" beside the automations switch show a hand cursor and light up, since clicking them works like the switch.
    ImprovedWebsite

A plainer header on the blog

The blog opens like the guides page: the title on the left with the number of articles beside it, the same introduction, and the topics to jump to.

    ImprovedWebsite

Blog posts and guides are easier to read and find your way around

Every blog post now opens with its key takeaways, so you get the answer before the explanation. On a computer a contents list sits beside each post, and every post shows when it was last updated. A trail at the top shows where you are, and the end of each post lists more posts on the same topic.

    • The guides page is grouped by what you came to do: get started, fix a problem, understand what you see, or VIP and earning.
    • The blog's topic buttons show how many posts each topic has.
    • Guides link to the blog topics that explain the why behind the steps.
    FixedWebsite

Cleaner streak track on the Cases tab

On the Cases tab's streak track, the rungs you have reached no longer have the progress bar running through their tick or gift. On a phone, the "ready" and "day" readouts above the track stay on one line each.

    FixedOverlay

The stranger's video no longer darkens on hover

Moving the pointer over the stranger's video used to dim the whole picture, darkest along the bottom edge. The video now stays at full brightness while the Report button and the control bar are showing.

    FixedOverlay

Stop shows the static again, not the last stranger

Pressing Stop in the middle of a call could leave the stranger's picture on screen until the next Start. Stop now clears it and brings back the community canvas, the same as stopping before anyone connects. With Sharpen the stranger's video switched on, the picture also goes away when a stranger leaves first, while ome.tv looks for the next person.

    FixedOverlay

The share form tells you how much is left to type

Sharing a config, layout, theme or automation to the community asks for a name and a sentence about what it is for. The form used to look ready and only complained after you pressed Share. Now each box counts as you type and says how many characters are still missing, the way IP notes do, and the Share button stays off until both are long enough.

    FixedOverlay

The session recap waits for a real session

Pressing Stop a few seconds after you started no longer pops up the session recap. The card now appears only when your run lasted at least five minutes. You can still open it whenever you like with Session summary in the command palette.

    FixedCamera and sound

Rock paper scissors keeps your camera's hand hidden

After 3, 2, 1 your camera showed its hand straight away, so the stranger could see it and throw the hand that beats it. Now your camera's hand stays face down, a card with a question mark. Press the hand the stranger showed, and only then does yours turn over and the winner's hand grow.

    FixedOverlay

    Two keyboard stops fixed

    • On the card that explains a sign-in problem, the Details and Developer mode folds show a ring when Tab reaches them.
    • Tab no longer stops on the globe, where it showed nothing and did nothing. Its buttons are still reachable.
    FixedWebsite

Two fixes for keyboard and reduced-motion visitors

    • With the keyboard, the Tab key no longer stops on the hidden Back to top button at the start of a page.
    • With reduced motion turned on in your system settings, the Discord icon on the sign-in card no longer pulses.
    FixedCamera and sound

Games and the pen show your picture the way the stranger sees it

ome.tv shows you your own camera mirrored, so a game's words, like a topic on the wheel or the two cards in This or that, read backwards to you while the stranger sees them the right way round.

    • While a game or the pen is on your picture, your own view is not mirrored, so you see exactly what the stranger sees. A small badge by Done says so, and the mirror comes back when you finish.
    • Words and numbers you write with the pen or in Draw and guess now reach the stranger the way you wrote them, not reversed.
    FixedWebsite

    Expired codes stay readable

On the Codes tab, an expired VIP code was faded until you hovered it, which never happens on a phone. It now shows its code and dates in grey at full strength, with the Expired badge beside it.

    FixedOverlay

Check no longer covers the buttons beside it

On a control bar with little room to spare, the Check button and its lock were drawn on top of the stranger's volume, recent, face and connection buttons. Check now shrinks to its icon instead, so every button stays visible and clickable.

    FixedWebsite

Readable steps on the canvas loading screen

While the Community Canvas loads, the steps still waiting their turn were too faint to read against the dark background. They now meet the contrast the rest of the site keeps.

    FixedPayments

A slow BLIK confirmation is no longer called a decline

When you paid with a BLIK code and Steam took a few minutes to hear back from your bank, the top-up said your bank declined the code, even though the money then arrived.

    • Now we keep waiting and check whether the payment landed before saying anything. While it waits, the panel tells you Steam is still confirming.
    • If Steam never answers, the order shows as in review and we check it by hand, so a payment that went through still reaches your balance.
    • An order cannot be canceled while its code is still being checked.
  10. NewOverlay

A welcome while the overlay loads

The card you see while the overlay starts now greets you for the time of day ("Good evening", or "Still up?" after 23:00) and shows your level, your day streak, the countries you have met and your talk time. Under them is one line on what is next: the day your streak reaches with one lookup today, an achievement you have nearly finished, or how many lookups you have left.

    • Nothing waits for it: the overlay is ready as fast as before, and any key or click puts the card away.
    • If something is slow or fails, the card shows which step, as it always did.
    • Turn it off in Settings > Panels > Overlay panels > Welcome at startup.
    NewOverlay

Chat decides, live on your stream

Your viewers can now watch their vote happen on your stream. Add one link to OBS and a card in the same style as the OME.UNDFND stream banner shows the !skip and !stay counts, each voter's name as it lands, how many skips are still needed, and the verdict when chat decides. It hides itself whenever chat is not voting.

    • Find it in Settings > Stream control > Stream overlay. Copy the link, add a Browser source in OBS, paste it, and press Test on stream to place it before a call.
    • The link is private. It stays masked, Show uncovers it for 5 seconds after a warning, and Regenerate makes a new one and switches the old one off everywhere at once.
    • Pick the language your viewers see from nine, and it changes on your stream straight away. No new link needed.
    • If the overlay is not signed in, the source shows a small offline card so you know what it is waiting for.
    ImprovedOverlay

Settings sorted into five categories, with clearer names

The sections in Settings now sit under five small headings, Overlay, Calls, On air, Library and App, so the one you want is quicker to find. Several sections got plainer names:

    • On screen is now Panels
    • Skipping is now Skip rules
    • Stream control is now Streaming
    • Config & Layout is now Configs and layouts
    • System is now General
    • What's new is now Changelog

Spectator has its own section instead of sitting at the bottom of Camera. Under Camera, Face Swap is its own group below Effects. The switch that looks up every stranger automatically is back in Settings, under Skip rules, so a search finds it.

    ImprovedOverlay

    Settings say less

Settings got quieter. Lines that only repeated a section's name, or said once more that something runs on your computer, are gone, and the longest tips are shorter. The small print under the face detector, the explicit camera check and picture quality now shows when you point at that status line.

On a browser without a built-in translator, the Translation section now says so instead of standing empty.

    ImprovedOverlay

Replay gets its own section, and Settings has a Safety section

Replay moved out of System into a section of its own. A live card shows whether it is recording, how much it holds against the most it can hold, and every save in one row. You can now pause Replay to keep what it holds while nothing new is recorded, and set more of it yourself:

    • How long the quick clip is, from 10 seconds to 90
    • Whether to look for the best moments, and how loud a moment has to be
    • Whether the timer shows over the stranger's video
    • Frame rate, a VP9 format for smaller clips, and a memory limit for your computer
    • Its shortcuts, listed in the section

Settings now has a Safety section with Safe view and the explicit camera skip, the ear and eye guards, chat safety and hiding your IP address. Picture quality moved to Camera.

The first time you use fake skip on a browser, it explains the risk and asks you twice. Shown often, or at the start of a conversation, the searching static can get an ome.tv account banned.

    ImprovedOverlay

Fewer dead ends and quieter rows

    • When your passport cannot load, it offers Retry instead of asking you to close it and open it again.
    • The locked media deck now has a way to get VIP instead of stopping at "this is a VIP feature".
    • Automations and Last connections are calmer: the buttons on each row appear when you point at the row, and a pinned automation keeps its pin.
    • The automations count says "1 error", not "1 errors".
    • After you press Stop, the panel says "Stopped. Press Start to find someone." instead of "Stopped by user".
    • A shortcut with no key reads "Not set" on the Shortcuts tab.
    • A member who keeps their stats private shows when they joined, without two empty tiles.
    • The VIP lookup counter on your player card shows ∞ on its own.
    • Face Swap, when locked, looks like the locked media deck and has the same way to get VIP, and its first screen no longer says the download size twice.
    ImprovedOverlay

    Settings show only what applies

    • Replay keeps its save, pause and clear buttons out of sight until it is recording, and a browser that cannot record no longer shows what a replay would cost.
    • The steps for adding the vote overlay to OBS fold away under "Add it to OBS" until you open them.
    • With a plain color or your own picture behind you, the blur Strength and Look rows step aside, since they only change a blur.
    • Spectator carries the VIP mark in Settings, like Effects and Face Swap.
    • The Unblock button is just the word, without a tick in front of it.
    • An empty soundboard pad says "Add a sound" when you point at it.
    • Moving between Settings sections no longer saves to your account on every click (and no longer flashes "Saving..." each time). The section you were in is still remembered, saved once when you close Settings.
    ImprovedOverlay

The globe names places in your language

The mini map used to name continents, countries and cities in English whatever language the overlay was set to. It now uses your language, in all nine the overlay speaks, and falls back to English where a place has no name in it.

    ImprovedOverlay

Face Analyze finds faces in colored, dim and grainy light

Under LED strips, a purple or blue room glow or a dark grainy camera, Face Analyze could stay on "waiting for a face" with somebody clearly on camera. When the first look finds nobody, the overlay now smooths out the grain, corrects the color and brightness of the frame and looks again, so faces in tricky light show up in the panel.

The camera skip rules use the same second look, so "skip if no face" no longer skips people just because their room is lit in one color.

    ImprovedOverlay

Easier to read, and every button has a name

    • Small grey text across the overlay, like times, hints and the startup card's labels, is a little brighter and now meets the usual contrast standard.
    • Buttons that only show an icon, such as rating a location, voting on a note or community item, and the buttons on an automation's row, now tell a screen reader what they do. The Check button keeps its name when the bar is too narrow to show it.
    • The chat tabs under the video say which view is on, and a member's profile card is announced by name.
    • The phone panel says "Battery 38%" instead of a bare "38%".
    • Party's Sound tab and Spectator's waiting screen say less, and the passport's note is one sentence shorter.
    • If the overlay cannot start, its banner now says so plainly, in your language when this browser has used the overlay before.
    • Settings and every floating panel are announced by name to a screen reader.
    • With reduced motion on in your system, the shortcut being recorded, the command palette and the muted microphone badge hold still too.
    • With the keyboard you can always see where you are. Every control now shows a clear ring in your accent colour (switches that are on and sliders showed none, and many buttons showed the browser's plain white outline), and the info panel, the globe's buttons, a chat message's Reply and React and the canvas's close button appear when Tab reaches them.
    • Stop on a button or a setting with Tab and its tooltip appears after a moment, the way it does under the mouse.
    • The accent styles in Appearance are a single Tab stop, and the arrow keys move between them.
    • The last hints that still used the browser's own tooltip (the session recap's chips, the tour's progress bar, the error code button, the diagnostics grid, the prestige star, a Face Swap face's full name) use the overlay's now: the same bubble as everywhere else, without the second's wait.
    • On ome.tv itself, the control bar's buttons show one focus ring when you Tab to them, not the page theme's ring round the overlay's own.
    FixedOverlay

Directions to Settings use the new section names

Settings got clearer section names today, but a few places still sent you to the old ones. The command palette and Community said Config & Layout, the passport and the setup guide said On screen or Skipping, and the connection panel said Camera and mic. They now say Configs and layouts, Panels, Skip rules and Camera, the names you see in Settings.

    FixedOverlay

The session recap is readable again

The card that sums up your run on ome.tv could show a white band over its three big numbers and a blank white box where the countries, lookups and XP belong. Both are gone, so the whole card reads as it should.

    FixedOverlay

    Small fixes in the overlay

    • In Settings > Panels, "Countries you have met" now explains itself when you point at it, like every other row, and shows its shortcut, Alt + W.
    • The title and text boxes of a note say their limits in words, such as 10 to 100 characters, in every language.
    • In the automation editor, the field you pick after "this stranger's" is named in words, such as "is one of us" or "IP address", instead of its code name. Six fields that had no name yet got one.
    • The automation editor no longer says "Unsaved" about an automation you have only opened.
    • In Polish, the last settings and messages that were still in English outside the automation editor now read Polish: skipping choppy video, replacing your background, the picture quality styles, the voice mask, waiting in another tab and the picture-in-picture window.
    • The warning that your computer is too busy to send a sharp picture no longer ends in a lone dash when the picture size is not known yet.
    • In Polish and Czech, the Connection panel shows the whole "Likely device" label, and in Polish, German, Spanish, Romanian and Latvian the Party sound tables show the whole "Stranger" heading. Both used to end in an ellipsis.
    • The Chat decides vote bar shows its whole first line, including how many votes it takes, in every language and with your own vote words.
    • The shelves in the Share dialog are pills you switch on, not browser checkboxes, and once three are picked the rest dim.
    • The small Replace and Clear buttons on soundboard pads and media tiles show the overlay's own tooltip, and a pad this browser could not store says so in its tooltip.
    • More labels show whole in longer languages: Spectator's "Stop both chats" in French and Romanian, the phone remote's buttons in German, Romanian and Latvian, a Party guest's status in Dutch and Romanian, and the date someone joined on a chat profile card in Czech and Latvian.
    FixedOverlay

The chat under the video reads in the light theme

With the light theme on, the tabs under the video, Debug Logs and the OME.UNDFND chat docked there were white text on a white column. They now use the same dark text and light surfaces as ome.tv's own chat beside them, and the message bar matches ome.tv's.

    FixedOverlay

Chat decides works with Kick chats again

If your stream's chat is on Kick, Chat decides kept saying it had lost the chat connection and never counted a vote. Kick changed how its chat lets viewers in, and the overlay now joins it the new way, so !skip and !stay from your Kick viewers count again. Twitch chats were not affected.

    FixedWebsite

    The changelog page opens again

Opening this page in a browser showed an error saying it only works from the extension. It loads normally again, and What's new in the overlay settings keeps working as before.

  11. NewChat

Write in your language, send in theirs

Chat with a stranger who speaks another language without leaving ome.tv. Turn on Send my messages in their language in Settings > On screen > Translation, then type in ome.tv's chat box as usual: a line above it shows your message in their language.

    • Enter sends the translation, Alt+Enter sends what you typed.
    • Their language is the one they write in. Until they write, it is their country's main language.
    • A message you already wrote in their language is sent as it is.

Everything is translated on your computer, nothing is sent anywhere. It needs a browser with the built-in translator, like Chrome, and each language downloads once, the first time you use it.

    NewOverlay

    What's new, inside the overlay

Settings has a new section, What's new, with the latest changes in a few lines each. A dot on the Settings gear tells you when there is something you have not read yet, and every entry links to its full text on this changelog page.

    NewOverlay

Stream control, and more say over Chat decides

Settings has a new section for streamers, Stream control. Chat decides and blind start moved there from On screen, and Chat decides can now be set up the way your stream works:

    • Stream delay: how far behind the call your stream runs. Votes that arrive in a new stranger's first seconds were meant for the one before, so they no longer count against the new one.
    • Majority to skip: half, 60%, 75% or 90% of the votes.
    • Chat can keep a stranger: turn it off and !stay only counts against the skips. When chat keeps someone, a speed round stops for them too.
    • Who can vote: everyone, subscribers with VIPs and moderators, or moderators only, read from the badges in your chat.
    • Your own vote words: up to four of each beside !skip and !stay, like !dalej or !zostaw.
    • Pause votes: a button in Stream control and a shortcut you can set in Settings > Shortcuts, for a stranger you want to keep without chat.
    • The vote bar over the video can be turned off; votes still count.
    NewOverlay

    Speed rounds

Give every stranger the same time: 30 seconds, 1 minute or 3 minutes. A ring on their video counts the round down and Next happens at zero, so you can meet a lot of people in an evening, or run a "one minute each" stream.

    • Keep anyone worth keeping: click the ring, or press Alt+Shift+K, and the clock stops for that stranger.
    • Turn it on in Settings > Skipping > Speed rounds. A shortcut to switch it on and off can be set in Settings > Shortcuts.
    NewOverlay

Skip people who look under 18

A new camera check in Settings > Skipping skips strangers the face model reads as younger than 18. It runs on your computer like the other camera checks, and it is free.

    • It is an estimate. The age is read from the camera, so it will miss some people under 18 and skip some adults. It only ever skips someone, it never keeps anyone because of their age.
    • Automations no longer receive the estimated age. This switch is the one place it is used.
    NewOverlay

Report and skip in one go

Reporting someone on ome.tv no longer means keeping them on screen while you do it.

    • Alt+Shift+Q covers the stranger's picture and mutes them, then opens ome.tv's own Report window. Press it again, or Report in that window, to send it, and the next stranger comes.
    • When Safe View has hidden someone, its cover now has a Report and skip button, so you never have to uncover them to report them.
    • Prefer ome.tv's own Report button? Turn on Settings > Skipping > Reporting > Cover and skip when I report someone, and it does the same.

The report itself is ome.tv's, exactly as if you had pressed it yourself. Close ome.tv's window instead and the stranger comes back with their sound.

    NewOverlay

    Replay finds your best moments

Replay now marks the moments where you and the stranger both got loud: a laugh, an argument, a shout across the screen. A small pill above the Replay mark says how many it has found, and one click saves the best three as one short clip, each with the seconds that led up to it.

    • Also in Settings > System > Replay, and as a shortcut you can set in Settings > Shortcuts.
    • Moments are found by loudness alone, on your computer, when both voices are in Replay's sound. Nothing is transcribed or sent anywhere.
    NewCamera and sound

Reactions, a pen and new looks for your camera

A new Reactions button on the control bar puts something on your own picture for a moment: hearts, laughing faces, fire, applause, a wow face, confetti, or a dramatic zoom on your face. The stranger sees them, and they are gone in a couple of seconds.

    • Draw opens a pen over your own preview. The stranger sees what you draw, and each line fades a few seconds after you finish it. Pick a colour, clear it, or press Escape when you are done.
    • Reactions and the pen are free, and every reaction can have its own shortcut in Settings > Shortcuts.
    • Settings > Camera and mic > Picture has a new Look: Film, Vivid, Noir, Cool, Vintage and Soft, on top of brightness and contrast. Picture controls need VIP.
    NewOverlay

    Rare encounters

When you meet someone from a country that hardly any member met this week, the overlay tells you: "first member this week to meet someone there", or how few others did. It goes by the country alone, so it is right for strangers on mobile data too.

    • If the country is also new to you, the new country moment says both at once.
    • With the stranger's card face down at the start of a call, these moments wait for the card to turn over.
    NewParty and Link

Your phone is a remote for ome.tv

When your phone is your camera with OME Link, it now drives ome.tv on your computer too, so you never have to reach for the keyboard while you are on camera.

    • Next skips to the next stranger, or starts the chat when it is stopped.
    • End chat stops the conversation without stopping your phone's picture.
    • Save clip keeps the last moments when Replay is on.

Once a conversation has lasted 2 minutes, Next and End chat ask you to tap again, just like on your computer. The buttons appear above your phone's controls as soon as the call is live.

    NewOverlay

    Regional sets in your passport

Your passport now groups countries into regional sets: the Baltics, the Nordics, the Balkans, the Gulf states, Southeast Asia, the Southern Cone and more. Meet someone in every country of a set to complete it.

    • Finished sets show as stamps, and the ones under way show every flag of the set, so the country still missing stands out.
    • Meeting someone from a new country says where it leaves its set, like "Latvia. Baltics 2 of 3", and the country that finishes a set gets a moment of its own.
    • Four new achievements for completed sets, from your first to twenty of them. The Six Continents badge also shows its own icon on your dashboard now.
    NewOverlay

See when a stranger has no sound, or skip them

No more asking "can you hear me?" into silence. When nothing has come through from a stranger for 6 seconds, a small mark on their video says No sound yet, or No microphone when no audio is arriving at all. It disappears the moment they make a sound.

    • Skip strangers with no sound: a new switch in Settings > Skipping > Their sound skips anyone who stays completely silent for 6, 10 or 15 seconds. Anyone who says anything is never skipped by it.
    • Free, and no lookup used: both read your own connection to the call. Nothing is recorded.

The mark is on by default and can be turned off in the same place.

    NewOverlay

More ways to skip, with VIP

Settings > Skipping has new rules that use what the lookup finds out about a stranger.

    • Skip strangers on a VPN: their location is not real, and many trolls and bots hide behind one.
    • Skip people you have already met: ome.tv often matches the same people again. Pick 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Only you can see who you have met.
    • AutoSkip by location, by language: type a language in the search box ("Spanish", "Portuguese") to match everyone from countries where it is spoken.
    • AutoSkip by location, near me: match anyone within 50, 100, 250 or 500 km of where you are, whatever their town is called.

The first two work on their own, without starting AutoSkip.

    NewDashboard

Your month on ome.tv, as a card

Your dashboard can now make a card of your month: time on camera with a bar for every day, the strangers you looked up, the countries they were from, and how it compares with the month before. Post it anywhere.

    • Find it at the bottom of Activity > Weekly recap. Pick this month or last month, then download the PNG or share it straight from your phone.
    • Every number comes from our servers' own counters, the same ones behind your weekly recap.
    NewOverlay

A good conversation no longer ends on a stray click

Once a conversation has lasted 2 minutes, Next and Stop ask for a second press. The first press shows "Press Next again to end this conversation" right above the button, with how long you have been talking. Press it again within 3 seconds and the conversation ends as usual.

    • Your own presses only: ome.tv's Next and Stop buttons, your skip shortcut, the media key and the picture-in-picture window. Your skip rules and automations still skip on their own.
    • Short calls are untouched: skipping through strangers works exactly as before.
    • On by default: turn it off in Settings > Skipping > Long conversations.
    NewOverlay

Hide your IP address from strangers

A new switch in Settings > System > Your IP address sends your ome.tv calls through ome.tv's own relay server. A stranger who looks you up, with any IP tool, then finds that server instead of your town and your internet provider. It stays off until you turn it on.

    • See it working: the Connection panel shows Your IP address: Hidden on every call that went through the relay.
    • It never stops a call: a call that ome.tv gives no relay goes direct as before, and if the relay stops answering, hiding pauses itself until you reload.
    • Your picture can arrive a moment later, and ome.tv itself still sees your address.
    NewDashboard

Holiday giveaways, free VIP on special days

On holidays, free accounts can now take free VIP time for finishing one sponsor page in Rewards. The first one is Halloween: 24h of VIP, open until the end of November 1. Press Get my free VIP day to take it.

Each giveaway is one per account. You do not need the extension set up first, because VIP starts the moment the page is done. Between giveaways, Rewards shows which one comes next and the day it opens.

    NewOverlay

See how long strangers stay with you

A new First impression readout in Settings > Camera and mic shows how long strangers stay with you on average and how many leave in the first 5 seconds, from your own calls.

    • Compare your setups: with enough calls each way, it shows how long people stay with your background blurred or replaced, your face hidden, Face Swap, a voice mask, your phone's camera and more, next to how long they stay without it.
    • It also splits the average by time of day.
    • Calls you skip in the first seconds do not count, so the numbers are about the strangers' choice. Everything stays on your computer, and nothing about the strangers is kept. Clear it any time.
    NewCamera and sound

Protect your ears and eyes from strangers

Two new switches in Settings > System > Protect your ears and eyes. Both are off until you turn them on.

    • Ear guard: evens out quiet and loud strangers, so you stop reaching for the volume after every skip. Pick Even out and cap screams and a sudden scream arrives as a raised voice instead. Your volume control works as before. Best with headphones.
    • Dim flashing pictures: if a stranger's picture flashes faster than three times a second, it is covered until it has been calm for two seconds. Made for anyone sensitive to flashing light.

Both run on your computer and use no lookups.

    NewOverlay

Config & Layout, your settings as named sets

Settings has a new section, Config & Layout. Save the settings you have now under a name, say "Hunting" with your skip rules on or "Stream" with blind start and a voice, and switch between your sets with one press of Load.

    • Pick what a set holds by the Settings sections you already know: Appearance, On screen, Skipping, Camera and mic and System.
    • Undo stays on the row for a minute after a load, in case it was the wrong set.
    • Layouts live here now too. Save where your panels sit and load it back from the same section, and Alt+L opens it. The layouts button on the control bar is gone.
    • Your sets follow your account to every browser you sign in on. Settings that need VIP only change on an account with VIP.
    NewOverlay

    Community, the setups members share

Settings has a new section, Community, with what members share in one place: configurations, layouts, themes and automations. Pick a kind or see them all, search by name, and sort by popular, new or top rated.

    • Load one in a press. A configuration, a layout or a theme applies at once. Undo takes it back for a minute, and Keep saves it to your own list in Config & Layout.
    • See before you load. A theme shows its colours, a layout shows where its panels sit, and a configuration lists every setting it changes.
    • Rate what you tried with a thumb up or down, and report anything that is not okay.
    • Share yours from Community, or with the globe on any row in Config & Layout: a configuration, a layout, your current theme or an automation. Your Discord name and picture go with it. Towns and regions in AutoSkip stay with you.
    • Settings that need VIP only change on an account with VIP. Community automations moved here from the Automations section.
    NewOverlay

Safer links in the stranger's chat

Turn on Warn about links and text bots in Settings > Skipping > Chat safety and the overlay reads the stranger's chat for you.

    • Links get a warning underneath, and opening one takes a second click, so a link can never be opened by accident.
    • IP loggers are never opened. Links made to reveal your IP address (like grabify) are blocked, with a note saying so.
    • Text bots are caught: a link or an "add me on" handle in the first seconds of a call is reported as a likely bot, and Skip likely bots can skip it for you.

Nothing from an ordinary conversation is sent anywhere.

    NewOverlay

    Let your chat decide

Streaming your ome.tv calls? Your viewers can now vote on each stranger by typing !skip or !stay in your Twitch or Kick chat. When enough skips win, the overlay presses Next for you, and a small bar at the top right of the video shows the votes as they land.

    • Paste your channel link in Settings > On screen > Chat decides and press Connect. No account linking, and nothing is ever posted to your chat.
    • Pick how many skip votes it takes. The same number of !stay votes keeps the stranger, and you can always skip yourself.
    • Votes in the first seconds of a call wait a moment, so a vote meant for the last stranger never skips the new one.
    NewOverlay

Guess first, then see where they are from

The stranger's card can now stay face down for the first 30 seconds or the first minute of every call. Talk, guess where they are from by the voice and the accent, then the card turns over on its own. A good format for streams, and fun off camera too.

    • Skip rules still work at once, since only the card waits. A click on the covered card shows it early.
    • The map waits with the card, so nothing gives the place away.
    • Turn it on in Settings > On screen > For streams.
    NewChat

    Ask before you share

Turn on Ask before I send personal details or links in Settings > Skipping > Chat safety, and the overlay reads your own messages before ome.tv sends them.

    • A phone number, an email address or a social media handle asks once. Press Enter again to send it.
    • Links and IP addresses ask too, because ome.tv can ban accounts that send them.
    • Once you send one kind to a stranger, it does not ask about that kind again in the same conversation. What you type is read on your computer and sent nowhere else.
    ImprovedCamera and sound

See the picture strangers actually get

Your own preview always looks sharp, even when strangers get something much worse. The Connection panel now ends with Your picture at their end: the size and frame rate that actually reach the stranger, and what is holding it back, if anything: your computer or your upload.

If a camera effect or Face Swap keeps your computer too busy to send your full picture, the overlay tells you once, with the size strangers are getting, so you can pick a lighter effect or a lower frame rate in Settings > Camera and mic.

    ImprovedOverlay

Talk time now counts real conversations

Talk time used to tick for every minute the overlay was open, even with nobody in front of the screen. Now a minute counts only while you are actually on a call with a stranger and looking people up. A tab left open on its own earns nothing, so your talk time, your level and the leaderboards reflect time spent talking.

Nothing you have already earned changes. If you are talking to people as usual, your talk time keeps counting exactly as before.

    ImprovedOverlay

A session recap that tells you how it went

When you press Stop, the recap now reads like a story instead of a row of numbers.

    • Three headline numbers: your time on calls, how many strangers became real conversations (30 seconds or more), and your longest one, each compared with your last session.
    • Where your strangers went: one bar shows who you talked to, who you skipped, who left, and who your own skip rules skipped, with every rule named (location, no face, bots, VPN and the rest).
    • The rest in one line: countries with their flags and how many were new, lookups, notes and the XP you earned.

It stays up longer, pauses while your mouse is over it, and closes with Esc or a click.

    ImprovedOverlay

    Every setting, for everyone

Settings now shows every option to every member. The Essentials, More and Everything picker at the bottom of Settings is gone, so nothing is ever hidden from you, and search always finds the setting you are looking for.

The setup wizard's "What do you want this for?" step still switches a couple of sensible things on for you. It no longer changes how much of Settings you see.

    ImprovedChat

Chat profile cards show who someone is

Click a name in the OME.UNDFND chat and the card now shows the person, not just three numbers. It wears their colour (the profile accent they picked, or their rank colour), and shows their level, their flair tag and their about line next to talk time, lookups and the month they joined.

    • Mention puts their name into your message box, so you can reply without typing it out.
    • Profile opens their full page on the site.
    • If you hid your stats or your about line on your profile, the chat card hides them too. A private profile shows no flair and no stats in chat.
    ImprovedOverlay

Chat decides shows its work in Debug Logs

With Live logs on, the Debug Logs tab in the chat column now follows Chat decides as it works: joining your stream's chat (and joining again after losing it), each vote with the count after it, every vote that did not count and why (the stream delay, who can vote, a pause), a majority that is not there yet, the verdict, and a call that ended before chat decided.

These lines stay in the tab and never cover the video. In a busy chat the tab lists the first votes for each stranger, and every vote still counts.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Camera and Microphone are two sections in Settings

The microphone settings used to sit at the bottom of the Camera section, under every camera effect. They now have a section of their own, Microphone, right below Camera in the Settings menu: volume, the compressor, push to talk, the voice mask and the browser's echo and noise switches, with the level meter.

A saved configuration keeps its microphone settings, and now lists them as Microphone.

    FixedOverlay

The overlay no longer signs you out when your address shifts

Some home routers and mobile networks change the last part of your address now and then. The overlay signed in fine on the new address, then lost its session a moment later with INVALID_TOKEN and left the search stuck on Waiting. It now keeps going as long as you stay on the same network.

    FixedOverlay

Reset to defaults now really switches everything off

After Settings > System > Reset to defaults, Ear guard and Flash guard kept working on every stranger, and Chat decides kept listening to its channel, while their switches already showed them off. They now stop the moment you reset, together with the chat guards, speed rounds and Safe view.

    FixedParty and Link

Your phone works as the camera even when ome.tv has no webcam access

If ome.tv could not use your webcam because you closed its camera request or Windows blocks the camera for your browser, a paired phone stayed stuck under the You have denied access message and Start did nothing. The overlay now steps in for the missing webcam, so your phone goes out to strangers and Start works, without asking for the camera again.

    FixedOverlay

Your layout keeps its shape on any screen

Panels you moved now land in the same place on any screen size. A layout set up on a big 4K monitor used to end up on top of ome.tv's own page on a smaller laptop screen. Now every panel keeps its spot relative to the edges of the window, and it follows along when you resize the browser.

Positions saved before this update still open where they were, and they move the new way after you drag them once.

    RemovedExtension

Face Swap in the Chrome Web Store extension runs on the page

In the Chrome Web Store extension, Face Swap now always runs in compatibility mode: on the ome.tv page itself instead of in two background workers. It uses the same models, and the panel says when this mode is on. On a slower computer the swap can trail a moving head a little more during a busy call.

The Pre-release overlay, loaded from the Script tab on your dashboard, keeps the background workers.

  12. ImprovedCamera and sound

The soundboard is on the control bar

The soundboard has its own button on the control bar, next to the media deck, so you can play a sound without opening Settings in the middle of a conversation.

    • One panel for everything: the eight pads, the on switch, the sound level and "Hear them yourself" are all in the panel. Drop it anywhere beside the video.
    • Stop all when it matters: the button wears a dot while a sound is playing, and Stop all is right under the pads.
    • Alt+Shift+B opens and closes it. Your pads keep their Alt+1 to Alt+8 keys.

It has moved out of Settings > Camera and mic, which now has a button that opens it.

    ImprovedDashboard

Release or pre-release, side by side on the Script tab

The Script tab now shows the two ways to run the overlay as release channels, so you can see at a glance which one to pick.

    • Release: the Chrome Web Store extension. It starts by itself on ome.tv, and every update is tested and reviewed by Google first. This is the one we recommend.
    • Pre-release: the Legacy script. It carries the newest overlay the moment we ship it, before it has been fully tested, and you paste it into ome.tv on every visit.

Whichever is newer is marked Newest, with a list of what the pre-release has that the release does not yet.

    ImprovedWebsite

Reward history, and refill times on your own clock

    • The Rewards page lists your recent rewards: what each sponsor page added and when, so you can check that one counted.
    • The IP lookup page says when your free lookups come back in your own time, instead of a fixed European time that was an hour off all summer.
    • When you top up your balance, the payment step shows whether someone is verifying payments right now before you pick a method.
    • The reminder before your VIP ends compares the real price per day of the plans, and the daily free case reminder no longer pushes you to open it before midnight.
    • In the overlay, the message you get when today's free lookups are used up now says when they come back.
    ImprovedExtension

Running out of free lookups is clearer

    • When your free lookups for the day are used up, the overlay, the extension's popup and its setup page show the time they come back on your own clock. The overlay used to compute that time one to two hours late.
    • The popup now offers the same ways forward as the overlay: VIP, earning free lookups on the Rewards page while a top-up is left today, or waiting for the refill.
    • When a Rewards top-up lands, the overlay tells you how many lookups it added.
    • The out-of-lookups card no longer lists the location finder as a VIP feature. Seeing where people are from stays free; VIP adds AutoSkip by location and by ISP score.
    • Your first lookup gets a short note on how far to trust the country, the city and the network.
    • Signing in from the extension's setup page brings you back to that page, and it now says your Discord account needs to be at least 90 days old.
    • The extension uses the same word for a lookup as the overlay in every language.
    ImprovedOverlay

The ome.tv online count is on your player card

The "users online" count no longer sits in the middle of the idle screen. It is a pill on your player card now, next to your other numbers (hover it for the exact figure), and the Community Canvas TV moves down to the centre of the free space.

If you switch the player card off, the count goes back to where ome.tv puts it.

    ImprovedOverlay

ome.tv's popups look like the overlay now

Settings, Report, the safety reminder, the "Are you there?" check, error messages and the ban screen on ome.tv now use the same cards as the overlay's own dialogs: the accent line along the top, a small title with a close button, readable text, and normal sized buttons in a row at the bottom.

    • Log Out in ome.tv's Settings is no longer the biggest button on the card.
    • The ban screen is readable in the dark theme, and it links to our step by step unban guide right above the payment buttons.
    • The Full Screen, Settings and Report buttons over the videos match the rest of the overlay's controls.
    • The Country and Gender lists use the overlay's font and row size too, so every country fits in one compact sheet instead of covering half the screen.
    ImprovedOverlay

Fake skip and Replay on the control bar

Two things that used to need a shortcut or a trip to Settings now have their own buttons on the control bar.

    • Fake skip switch: press it to show the stranger the searching screen with your mic silent, and press it again to go back to exactly what you were sending before (your camera, a video file or your phone). It is off until you press it, lights up while it is on, and turns itself off when the next stranger arrives. With VIP, like the other camera inputs.
    • Replay button: saves your replay with one press. While Replay is off, the same button turns it on. It wears a dot while Replay is recording, and its tooltip says how much it is holding.
    • Save the last 30 seconds: a new way to save just the moment that happened, without the minutes before it. Press Alt+Shift+C, or use the new button in Settings.
    • Right-click the replay chip on the video to save only the current call.
    • More Replay keys: the Keybinds tab has a Replay section where you can also set keys to turn Replay on or off and to clear it. Turning it off with a key asks first when it is holding something you have not saved.

The control bar also fits better in a half-width window: the Check button no longer gets squeezed under the lock.

    ImprovedWebsite

The site says what you need before you install

    • The home page and the setup page now say, before you add the extension, that signing up needs a Discord account that is at least 90 days old.
    • The install steps include the Discord verification step, which they used to skip.
    • On a phone, the main button sends the page to your computer instead of opening a store page that phones cannot install from.
    • Visitors who are not signed in find Set up at the start of the navigation.
    • The VIP rule that keeps skipping until someone from a chosen city connects is now called Auto Skip by location everywhere, so it is no longer confused with seeing where people are from, which is free.
    • The old setup video showed an install that no longer exists, so it is no longer linked as the setup guide. A new one is coming.
    • If you set up with the Chrome Web Store extension, the dashboard no longer repeats its setup steps. It only asks who may see your profile.
    • Signed-out visitors no longer get pop-under ads on the home, setup, guide, FAQ, blog and VIP pages.
    FixedOverlay

ome.tv's own menus open on top again

ome.tv's menus and popups no longer open underneath the overlay.

    • The Country and Gender lists open over the map and the Community Canvas TV instead of behind them.
    • Settings, Report and ome.tv's other popups dim everything behind them, our widgets included, so nothing cuts through the middle of the card any more.
    • With HD video on, the Report button shows when you hover the stranger's video. Before, the sharper picture covered it.
    • The Full Screen, Settings and Report buttons on the videos are compact pills in a row now, instead of two big slabs across your own camera.
    FixedOverlay

    Last connections controls line up

In the Last connections panel, the Keep picker sat higher than the Clear all button beside it. Both now share one line with the counters.

    FixedWebsite

Clearer answers when sign-up or a reward is refused

    • If your Discord account is too new to sign up, the message now names the date you can sign up from, instead of asking you to try again later.
    • Rewards no longer tells members who set up through the Chrome Web Store to generate a script. It asks you to set up the extension and open ome.tv once.
    • Rewards top-ups now count per day from the same morning refill as your free lookups, so the last one of the day and the refill never disagree.
  13. NewOverlay

Make the control bar your own, with the stranger's volume on it

The bar under the video now carries the stranger's volume, and you choose what else is on it.

    • Stranger's volume: press the speaker to mute, hover it for a slider, or turn the mouse wheel over it. It replaces ome.tv's own slider, so there is one volume control instead of two, and it remembers your level in this browser.
    • Choose your buttons: Settings > Appearance > Control bar has a switch for every button except Check and Settings. Right-click the bar to get there.
    • Pin your automations (VIP): put your automations on the bar, each one either running once when pressed or switching on and off. Use the pin on a program's row in the Automations tab, or pick it in the Control bar settings.

The Start, Stop, country and gender tiles under ome.tv's video are flat now and line up with each other in every state.

    NewOverlay

Save the last minutes of a call as a video, with Replay

Turn on Replay in Settings, System, and the overlay keeps the last minutes of your calls in your browser's memory. When something happens worth keeping, press the Replay mark on the video, or Alt+Shift+R, and the replay is saved to your downloads as a video file. Save this call keeps only the conversation you are in.

Choose how far back it reaches (up to 15 minutes), whether the clip shows the stranger alone, side by side with you, stacked upright for phones, or with you in a corner, and whether it has the sound of both of you, only the stranger, or none. Your side is what the stranger saw and heard, so camera and voice effects stay on. Nothing is uploaded, and turning Replay off or closing the tab forgets it.

Replay never keeps a stranger the explicit camera check flags: everything recorded of them is dropped. Recording people without their permission is against the law in some places, so only save and share clips you are allowed to.

    NewOverlay

See how other members' calls with a stranger went

Under the address in the info panel, a new row shows how many other members met this stranger this week. With VIP it also shows how long people usually talk to them (calls under 10 seconds do not count), how often members skip them fast, who usually hangs up first, how many calls became long talks, and whether members blocked them or had their camera covered as explicit.

Everything covers the past week only, because addresses change hands, and nothing appears until enough members have met the address. Your own calls never count in what you see. Automations can use the same numbers, and the bot badge no longer shows on an address where members had real conversations this week.

    NewOverlay

Share your automations and install ones other members built

The Automations tab has a new Community automations section. Browse what other members built, sort by popular, new or top rated, pick a shelf, and open any of them to read every block before you install it. Each card says what the automation will be able to do and how many members run it. An installed one arrives switched off, the same review sheet as an import comes first, and when its author shares a new version the row offers the update.

To share your own, press the globe on its row, give it a name, a sentence and up to three shelves. Your Discord name and picture are shown with it, and anyone can read its blocks, so never share one holding a private link or password. One that uses the internet or chat blocks is checked by a moderator before anyone can install it, and you can take yours down at any time. Members who installed one can rate it, and anyone can report one.

Shared automations also have their own pages on the website, at ome.undfnd.eu/community-automations.

    ImprovedOverlay

Picture quality now tunes itself to each stranger

The picture quality settings (Settings, System) have a Style choice. Auto reads how heavily each stranger's video is compressed and picks the cleanup and sharpening for it, so a blocky stream gets cleaned up instead of having its blocks sharpened. Natural, Crisp and Maximum detail are fixed looks, and moving any slider switches to Custom with your own numbers.

    • Steady picture calms the shimmer of compressed video wherever nothing is moving
    • Brighten dark rooms lifts the shadows when a stranger sits in the dark and leaves a well lit picture alone
    • Colour brings back the colour compression washes out
    • Hold to see the original shows ome.tv's own picture while you hold it, so you can judge the difference. Two new shortcuts on the Shortcuts tab do the same and switch sharpening on or off.

Everything still runs on your own graphics card, on every plan, with nothing downloaded.

    ImprovedParty and Link

New OME Party limits, and room for six friends on VIP

On a free account a party has room for 2 friends on camera, for 2 hours a day. The clock only runs while at least one friend is on camera, so waiting for friends to join costs nothing. The People tab of the Party panel shows how much time is left today, you get a heads-up five minutes before the end, and the time comes back with the daily reset.

With VIP a party has room for 6 friends and no time limit. VIP parties were stopping at three friends before, and that is fixed.

    ImprovedOverlay

The control bar is sorted into groups

The buttons under the video are sorted by what they are about, with a thin line between each group, so you can find one without hovering over each in turn.

    • This stranger: last connections, Face Analyze and Connection
    • Your camera: Face Swap, the media deck and your phone
    • Friends: Party and Spectator Mode
    • Your screen: streamer mode and layout presets
    • Settings closes the bar on its own, and it stays lit while the settings window is open

The bar always stays on one line. In a smaller window it gets more compact instead of breaking onto a second row.

    ImprovedOverlay

    The overlay signs in faster

The overlay no longer works out a device fingerprint before it signs in. Sign-in has been tied to your network since 9 October and the server stopped reading the fingerprint then, so the check only held up every page load. The Device line is gone from Diagnostics for the same reason.

    ImprovedWebsite

New sign-ups need a Discord account at least 90 days old

Signing up now needs a Discord account that is at least 90 days old, up from 30. It keeps throwaway accounts out of the site and the Discord server. If you already have an account here, nothing changes: you keep signing in as before, and you can rejoin the Discord server if you left it.

    ImprovedOverlay

Live logs moved into the chat column

The running log of each call (IP captured, querying, analysis results, why a stranger was skipped) no longer stacks up as cards over the video. It now has its own Debug Logs tab next to Stranger and OME.UNDFND in the chat column, with timestamps, colours for warnings and errors, and buttons to copy or clear it.

Messages about something you just did, like a saved preset, and anything that went wrong still pop up as before. The tab follows the Live logs switch in Settings.

    FixedWebsite

The verification picture shows up again

    • Opening the link from Verify in #verify could show the verification form with an empty picture, and asking for a new one sent you back to Discord for another link. The picture now loads, and the link stays open for its full 10 minutes.
    • If a picture still fails to load, the page fetches a new one by itself, and tells you plainly when it needs you to press the arrows.
    • Verifying now needs your VPN or proxy switched off for that one step, iCloud Private Relay and Cloudflare WARP included. The page says so if one is on, and keeps your picture and answer so you can send them again.
    FixedDashboard

The stream banner's live counts keep climbing

On the affiliate stream banner, the lookup total and the member and online counts no longer start over from zero each time a new number comes in. They now roll on from the number already on screen, so viewers see the total climb as people search. A very large total also shrinks to fit instead of running off the card.

    • The country on the how it works card no longer changes halfway through the scene.
    • Lookups that came in while the globe was still loading now light up their country too.
    FixedParty and Link

Spectator waits for a browser that drops out

    • When your other browser drops out of a Spectator bridge after its picture had already frozen, this browser now keeps waiting for it to come back, as it does for any other drop out. It used to end the session early.
    • Pressing Stop straight after Start no longer leaves the next session showing your other browser as already connecting.
    FixedOverlay

Fixes for the daily reset, waves, phone pairing, saved settings and automations

    • When the daily reset lands while a lookup is running, the overlay now signs itself back in quietly. Some members were asked to generate a new script even though the overlay had already reconnected.
    • When you meet another member, a wave they send now shows up over the video every time. It used to be missed when your lookup finished before their member card appeared.
    • A phone that reconnects while its call to your computer is still being set up no longer drops back to the pairing code, where it stopped retrying.
    • On a slow connection, a setting you change while the previous change is still saving is no longer lost and put back the next time the page loads.
    • When your block list is full, blocking someone now says so instead of asking you to try again.
    • Rating a past stranger from Last connections shows the XP it earns straight away, the same as rating the stranger on screen.
    • An automation that blocks someone no longer stops to ask on every match, and only reports a block when one happened.
    • An automation is no longer switched off as broken because you skipped strangers while it was waiting.
    • An automation that fails to delete now says so and stays in your list, and a new one keeps its place at the end of the list after a reload.
    FixedOverlay

Fixes for notes, the block list and location corrections

    • Voting on another member's note while you are writing your own no longer wipes what you have typed.
    • The note form now counts characters the way saving does. A note with angle brackets in it, like a >_<, could be shown as long enough and then be refused.
    • Unblocking someone straight after opening your block list no longer puts them back on it a moment later, and they are no longer skipped as blocked.
    • When you search for a place in the location correction form, the search box keeps your typing when the results appear instead of letting go of it.
    FixedOverlay

Bot warnings stop landing on ordinary people

The bot badge on the IP line, and the automatic bot skip, were catching real people far too often: someone whose camera went black, someone sitting still, a picture that froze on a slow connection, or an ordinary room behind someone. None of those count as a bot any more, and addresses that were wrongly marked lose the badge.

    FixedOverlay

Chat times in your language, and widget tooltips that keep up

    • The time beside each chat message, like "3m ago", is now written in the language you use the overlay in.
    • Large numbers on the widget are grouped the way your language writes them.
    • Hovering the level ring or the XP bar on the widget now shows your current level and XP. Both kept the numbers from when the page loaded.
    • The Discord tooltip on the widget now shows the current online and member counts. It kept the figures from when the page loaded, which could be zero for the whole session, and labelled them in English.
    RemovedOverlay

    Automations no longer write notes

The One-key note starter and the automation block that wrote notes are gone. They posted the same sentence, with no picture, about whoever happened to be on screen, which made notes less useful for everyone. Notes are written by hand from the notes panel, with the picture of who you met.

Automations you already saved still open and run. A note step inside one shows as an unknown block and does nothing.

  14. NewDashboard

Your stream banner speaks your viewers' language

Affiliates can now pick the language of their stream banner in the dashboard: English, Polski, Deutsch, Français, Español, Nederlands, Română, Čeština or Latviešu. Every line switches over, including code drops, wins and your code plug, and OBS picks up the change without a refresh.

    • Between drops the banner now works as an animated ad for the extension. A globe lights up with the lookups people are running right now, a short scene plays out how a lookup works on a real call, and every feature gets its own little animation.
    • The numbers on it are live and update by themselves: lookups served, members, and how many people are using it right now.
    NewExtension

Get the newest overlay before the Chrome Web Store has it

Every Chrome Web Store update waits for Google to review it, so it reaches the extension hours after we ship it. The Script tab in your dashboard now shows which overlay the store has and which one the legacy script has, and lists what is new when the store is a step behind.

If you want those features right away, the legacy script carries them at once, and the Script tab shows how to keep it and the extension from colliding on ome.tv. Staying on the store version is always fine, and from its next update the extension also tells you on ome.tv when a newer overlay is out.

    NewParty and Link

Find out why your phone, party or second browser will not connect

When the phone camera, a Party guest or Spectator gets stuck on connecting, drops or freezes, the panel now says what most likely went wrong and what to try. It can spot a VPN or WebRTC blocker that stops direct connections, two browsers on one computer that cannot find each other, a network that blocks our relay, and an unstable connection to our server.

Each of those panels, and the phone page itself, has a Copy diagnostics button. It copies a short report of what the connection did, with no addresses or invite codes in it. Open a ticket on our Discord, pick Phone, Party or Spectator will not connect, and paste it there.

    ImprovedExtension

Welcome lookups now come with the Chrome extension

The 600 welcome lookups are added the first time you set up the Chrome extension, once per account and once per browser. The legacy script still gets 100 lookups a day, and if you add the extension later, the welcome lookups arrive then.

Rewards top-ups now also work for accounts that run on the daily lookups alone, instead of asking you to generate your script first.

    ImprovedOverlay

Waves now land in the call

When you match with another member and press Wave, they now see it right away: a waving hand pops up over your video on their screen with your name and a Wave back button. You see your own wave go out the same way. It still arrives as a notification on the site too, for anyone who skipped before it landed.

    ImprovedWebsite

Verify through #verify and a private link

Verifying your account starts in the #verify channel on our Discord server. Press Verify and the bot sends you a private link that only works for your account, once, for 10 minutes. It opens the verification page, where a security check and the code from a picture unlock your dashboard. Hard to read? Ask for a new picture.

If Discord shows you the server rules screen, accept it first, then press Verify. Any page that needs a verified account shows you these steps, so you always know what is left.

    ImprovedDashboard

A 3D pin and new animations on the stream banner

The OME.UNDFND pin on the affiliate stream banner is now a 3D marker that keeps turning. It spins up when a code drops, hops when someone wins, and nods when your code plug slides in.

    • Every screen has new motion: tiles fall in and spin, badges stamp down, the winner's name bounces in letter by letter and sparks fly out of the pin.
    • Dropped codes now land in a new hand-set style with a light shimmer, still easy to read at a glance.
    • New case and promo codes skip characters that look alike, so there is no more guessing between 0 and O or 1 and I.
    ImprovedOverlay

Looked up addresses are no longer kept in our database

When the overlay looks up a stranger's address, the answer is now only kept for a short while to make repeat lookups fast: up to 12 hours in server memory and up to 30 days in our cache, then it is deleted. Nothing about the addresses you meet is written to our database any more, and the older stored answers are being removed.

The privacy policy says the same.

    ImprovedPayments

    Litecoin top-ups credit sooner

A Litecoin top-up now credits after 2 network confirmations instead of 3. That is one fewer block to wait for, which matters most on nights when the Litecoin network is slow.

    ImprovedPayments

    Watch your crypto top-up arrive

An open crypto top-up now shows where your payment is: waiting for it, seen on the network, confirming (for example 1 of 2), or being checked by our team. A timer shows how long the order has been open and when we next check, and the window switches to Credited on its own once the money lands.

    • Litecoin and Bitcoin payments are picked up sooner, because we check the network more often
    • Your recharge history shows the same live status next to each open order
    • A crypto or BLIK code top-up with no payment for 2 hours now closes itself as "Timed out, closed automatically", so a forgotten order no longer stops you from starting a new one
    FixedOverlay

The card for a fellow member shows their real level

When ome.tv matches you with another OME.UNDFND member, their card now shows the same level and season tier their own profile does. Before, it often showed a lower level that only counted their talk time and lookups.

    FixedWebsite

The live lookup counter keeps counting

The lookup counter on the home page could stop for half a minute or more at a time, even while lookups were coming in. It now climbs steadily with every lookup again.

    FixedExtension

Brave and other privacy browsers stay signed in

The overlay no longer refuses to start with Browser fingerprint mismatch or Browser has changed. Brave, Avira and other browsers with fingerprint protection work with their privacy settings left on, so there is no need to turn Brave Shields off any more, and a browser update no longer signs you out.

Your sign-in is still tied to the network you set it up on. If you switch a VPN on or off, or move to another connection, the extension renews it by itself on the next load.

  15. NewDashboard

    Free rewards for sponsor pages

There is a new Free rewards tab under Play on your dashboard. Each sponsor page is a few quick tasks, like trying an app or answering a survey, and every one of them pays out:

    • Daily lookups: one sponsor page for 500 extra lookups, once every 24 hours. They never expire
    • Quick top-up: ran out of lookups? One sponsor page gives you 100 more on the spot
    • Sponsor case: 2 sponsor pages in a day unlock a free Trial case in Daily missions
    • VIP day: every sponsor page counts, and 5 in a week earn 24 hours of VIP
    • Reward streak: take the daily lookups 7 days in a row and day 7 adds 24 hours of VIP
    • Community goal: when everyone together reaches the weekly goal, the daily lookups pay double for the rest of the week

The tab also links every other free reward, from the daily case to the season pass. VIP accounts never see sponsor pages or ads.

    NewCamera and sound

Eight pictures and videos for your camera, one key each

The camera's picture and video inputs are now a media deck: eight slots, and each one holds a picture or a video. With VIP, press Alt+Shift+1 to Alt+Shift+8 to show a slot to the person you are talking to, and press the same key again to go back to your camera.

    • A new Media deck button on the control bar (or Alt+Shift+M) opens a small panel with a thumbnail of every slot, so you can switch with a click and always see what is on air
    • Drop a file on a slot to fill it. Loading a file no longer puts it on screen by itself
    • Videos start from the beginning each time you switch to them
    • Every slot key can be changed on the Shortcuts tab, and there are optional keys for the next and previous slot
    • The video and picture you had set up before are already waiting in the first slots
    ImprovedParty and Link

Cut out in a party is lighter on your computer

Removing a person's background in a party tile (Cut out) now takes about 40% less work for each picture it checks. On slower computers it also keeps itself to a fair share of the processor, refreshing the outline a little less often instead of making your whole camera stutter for the stranger.

    ImprovedOverlay

Out of lookups? The overlay shows you the free way back

When your free lookups run out, the card on ome.tv now offers a free top-up next to VIP: one sponsor page on the Rewards tab and more lookups land on your account. Come back to ome.tv and the overlay picks them up by itself within a minute, no reload needed.

The lookup counter now says Extra lookups left while you spend welcome and reward lookups, since both come out of the same pot.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Face Swap gives memory back when it is off

Face Swap's models are the largest thing the overlay loads, and once started they stayed in memory until you closed the tab, even with the swap switched off. Now they are let go when Face Swap has been off for five minutes, which frees several hundred megabytes on your computer and graphics card.

Switching it back on within those five minutes is instant, as before. After that it takes a few seconds while the models load from your computer again, with nothing downloaded.

    ImprovedOverlay

A clearer setup guide for new members

The setup guide that opens the first time you use the overlay is easier to follow. It now starts by showing how a chat with the overlay works in three steps, and ends with your first chat step by step, including whether lookups will happen on their own or with the Check button.

    • The Next and Back buttons stay in the same place on every screen.
    • Each change you make shows a short Saved note, so you know it stuck without looking for a save button.
    • Pictures sit next to the text, so the settings on each screen are visible without scrolling.
    • Every step in the list has its own icon, and the guide tells you up front it takes about two minutes.
    ImprovedDashboard

The stream banner is easier to read on stream

The affiliate banner in OBS stays readable when it is scaled down in a stream layout. All text is larger and brighter, and the grey lines that faded into the stream are now near white.

    • A slow moving contour map glows behind the banner in the colour of the moment: blue while idle, the case colour on a drop, the prize colour on a win
    • Case drops show the case itself next to the code
    • Your affiliate code plug has a bigger code and discount, with a coloured edge
    FixedParty and Link

Your voice and your phone's sound stay on

    • Changing Cancel echo, Reduce background noise or Automatic level in the middle of a call no longer leaves the stranger hearing silence while a voice mask, the soundboard or a party is running. The same silence could follow your phone's microphone joining or leaving the call, and that is fixed too.
    • With the phone's sound set to Headset, a newly paired phone now hears the call straight away. It used to hear nothing until you switched to another mode and back, and it could go quiet again after the connection dropped and came back.
    FixedOverlay

A stuck lookup tries again instead of loading forever

When our server was slow to answer a lookup for the stranger on screen (location, network, VPN, or the check for another member on the same call), the info panel could keep loading until you pressed Next. Those lookups now give up after a short wait and try again on their own. If the location lookup still gets no answer, the panel says the request timed out instead of loading forever.

    FixedParty and Link

Spectator and Party pictures stay live when their window is in the background

    • In Spectator, the browser window that sat behind the other one often showed its stranger the other person blurred, as if they had frozen, even though they were still there. The relayed picture now stays live and sharp while the window is in the background.
    • In a Party, guests stay on the stranger's screen when the host switches to another tab, instead of their tiles going black after a few seconds.
    FixedOverlay

Smart skip works while you wait in another tab

With Skip black screens or Skip if no face on, waiting for a match in another tab could skip every stranger as a black camera, so the alert that someone is waiting never had anyone to tell you about. The overlay now sees the stranger's picture even when its tab is not the one in front, and only skips the people your rules are meant to skip.

    FixedCamera and sound

Sharpen the stranger's video now works during a call

Sharpen the stranger's video never actually turned on while you were talking to someone: the setting stayed on and its status said it was waiting for a stranger. It now sharpens the stranger's picture as soon as they are on screen, and stops between strangers as it was meant to. In a window that crops the video, the sharpened picture also stays inside the video now instead of spilling over your own camera.

    FixedCamera and sound

Media deck and soundboard files say "saved" only when they are

When your browser refused to store a picture, video or sound for next time (usually because it ran out of space for this site), the media deck and the soundboard could still show it as saved, and it was gone after a reload. They now tell you it will not be kept.

    FixedOverlay

Rating an ISP no longer counts the stranger twice

Rating a stranger's internet provider used to run their whole lookup again just to show the new score. That counted them twice in your session recap, could run your own automations a second time, and could even apply your auto-skip rules to the person you had just rated. Now only the ratings are refreshed, and the new score appears straight away.

    FixedDiscord

No more false Dashboard outage alerts

The Discord announcements channel kept posting "Dashboard Outage" and then "Services Restored" a few minutes later, again and again, while the site was working fine. An outage is now only announced after it has been confirmed several times in a row, so a single slow check no longer sets off an alert, and each alert is posted once instead of twice.

    FixedCamera and sound

Mute and your microphone settings hold from the first second of every call

If you turned on Mute microphone, Push to talk, a Voice mask or a different Microphone level before a call started, the next stranger could hear your normal microphone until you touched one of those controls again. These settings now apply to every new call the moment it begins.

Camera effects such as the privacy mask also take over the picture as soon as a call is set up, rather than a moment after it connects.

    FixedCamera and sound

Replacing a media deck file keeps the old one until the new one works

Putting a new picture or video into a Media deck slot no longer empties the slot first. If the new file cannot be played, the one you had stays in place. If the slot you replace is the one on air, the stranger keeps seeing it until the new file is ready, instead of a frozen frame and then black.

    FixedExtension

The extension switches to a new version by itself

The Chrome Web Store extension used to keep running the old overlay after a new version had already downloaded, often until you restarted the browser. Now it moves to the new version on its own.

    • With no ome.tv tab open, it updates straight away.
    • If ome.tv is open, a small card asks you to update. Press Update now and ome.tv reloads on the new version, or press Later and it updates when you close the tab or open ome.tv again.
    • The Update now button in the extension menu shows up whenever a new version is waiting.
    FixedCamera and sound

Camera effects send a smoother picture

With a camera effect or any picture adjustment switched on (a blur, the privacy mask, mirroring, zoom and the rest), a typical 30 frames per second webcam reached the stranger at only 15 frames per second, half of what was intended. It now goes out at the full rate the overlay aims for, so movement looks as smooth as it should.

    FixedCamera and sound

Camera effects keep moving while you are in another tab

With a camera effect or picture adjustment on, switching to another tab during a call left the stranger with a picture that updated about once a second. Your browser stops drawing a tab you are not looking at, and the effect was waiting on it. Now the effect keeps the picture going at close to its normal rate while you are elsewhere.

  16. NewWebsite

The Extension 2.0 trailer is on the home page

The home page now shows the Extension 2.0 trailer right under the opening. A short silent preview plays in the frame as you scroll to it, and Watch the trailer starts the full film with sound without leaving the page. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press it.

    NewCases

Replay any case opening, and the rarest drops of the week

Every case opening can now be watched again. Press play on a row in your opening log, or on any drop in Live drops, and the opening replays with the same reel, the same landing and the same timing it had the first time.

    • Live drops can be sorted by Rarest, so the big pulls come first, and narrowed to the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, or to one case. The list is paged, and a summary shows how many of each drop landed in that time.
    • The opening log fits its panel at every width. No more scrolling sideways to read a result.
    • Your seed panel only offers Reveal and rotate once something was opened on the pair. Before that, the button just sets a new client seed, so your list of revealed pairs no longer fills up with empty ones.
    ImprovedCamera and sound

See which voice mask is on

While a voice mask is on, a small badge at the bottom of the screen names it, for example Voice: Robot. The mask stays on after a reload, so the badge is there to remind you before you talk to anyone. If your microphone is muted at the same time, the two badges stack.

    ImprovedOverlay

The overlay asks much less of your computer

The overlay does far less work in the background now, so ome.tv stays smoother on older PCs and laptops run cooler, whether you are idle, searching or in a call.

    • The globe turns for a fraction of the work it used to, and holds still while it is faded out.
    • Flying down to each stranger's location takes about half the work.
    • With the map switched off, the globe no longer flies to each stranger's location out of sight. It is on their city when you switch it back on.
    • The location pin pings a few times when the globe lands, then rests, instead of pinging for the whole call.
    • The small live dots and badges no longer make your graphics card redraw the whole page on every frame.
    • Interface sounds let your audio device rest between cues instead of keeping it busy for the rest of the session.
    ImprovedDashboard

A cleaner stream banner for affiliates

The banner affiliates add to OBS has a new look. Dropped codes land in clear tiles that stay readable when the banner is scaled down, and every screen ends on the address viewers need to visit.

    • Your affiliate code now shows in full at every plug size, and the headline no longer shows through it
    • Win screens name the case, the prize and its rarity
    FixedParty and Link

Let in puts your friend on camera again

Pressing Let in on a guest who was waiting did nothing: they flickered and went back to waiting. Let in now puts them in the first empty tile, and adds a tile when every tile is taken. With all four tiles full, the console tells you to free one first.

    • You get a notice when somebody is waiting to join while the Party panel is closed.
    • A guest who is let in but has not pressed Send yet now shows as Not sent yet in your console, with a note asking them to press it. Before, the row said On camera while nobody could see them.
    • On the guest's screen, the line above Send now says plainly that they are in and need to press Send.
    • When a guest's tile is black because they covered their camera or put their page in the background, your console now says which.
    • A guest who is let in and taken straight back off is now told so, with what to ask the host, instead of the page quietly going back to waiting.
  17. NewWebsite

A setup check, a status page, this changelog and a page per feature

    • Set up checks your browser, the extension, your Discord sign-in and verification as you go, and tells you the next step.
    • Service status shows whether the site, IP lookups and Discord sign-in are working, checked every minute.
    • Contact lists every way to reach us, including email for privacy and business questions.
    • Features has a page for each thing the overlay does, each with the real overlay running on a made-up call.
    • This changelog, with an RSS feed.
    NewExtension

OME.UNDFND is on the Chrome Web Store

You can now add the extension with one click from the Chrome Web Store. It updates itself, so there is no folder to unzip and nothing to reload by hand. The setup page walks you through the rest.

    • The toolbar popup fits on screen, with its main button at the top.
    • The startup card says which step is slow and how long a normal start takes on your computer.
    • The install button on your dashboard opens the Chrome Web Store listing instead of downloading a zip file.
    • The FAQ, the guides, What it can reach and the welcome message in Discord now describe the Chrome Web Store version. If you still have the old zip version, remove it and add the store version. The safety page explains what changed.
    NewCases

Cases: a new opening, shards, daily missions and a spend limit

The Case Terminal has a new look: the OME secure container, a cinematic stage and a rarity reveal. Openings can be sped up with Fast mode, skipped with a tap, or run several in a row with Auto open.

    • An empty case now pays shards, which you can save up and trade for VIP time.
    • Two daily missions, one for lookups and one for talk time, each pay a free Trial case.
    • You can set yourself a daily spend limit on paid openings. Lowering it applies at once, raising it waits 24 hours.
    • Every opening can be checked on the fairness page, and any drop can be shared with its own page.
    NewOverlay

Know when someone is waiting while you are in another tab

Ome.tv no longer needs your full attention between calls.

    • When a stranger stays on the call while the ome.tv tab is hidden, the tab title flashes and a sound plays. You can also switch on a silent system notification.
    • The next track key on your keyboard skips to the next stranger.
    • Picture in picture keeps the stranger's video in a small window with Next, Mute and Stop. Find it in the command palette.
    • Chat messages in another language can get a translated line under them. The translation runs on your own computer, in browsers that have a built in translator, and it is off until you turn it on.
    ImprovedOverlay

Skip rules make fewer wrong skips

    • A gender skip now needs two confident reads that agree, and an unclear face is looked at again instead of being skipped.
    • A black screen is confirmed with a second frame before anyone is skipped for it.
    • The rules never judge a frame left over from the previous stranger.
    • When the location service cannot place a city, a "only this city" rule waits instead of skipping everyone.
    ImprovedOverlay

Settings follow you between tabs, and automations can use your camera and mic

Change a setting in one ome.tv tab and your other tabs in the same browser pick it up straight away. A second overlay on the same account also stopped undoing your changes.

Automations gained new actions: set your camera effect, mute or unmute your microphone, play a soundboard sound and block the stranger. New triggers fire when Safe View covers a stranger, when a friend joins or leaves your party, and when your phone connects or drops.

    ImprovedExtension

The extension popup can load the overlay on the tab you are on

Version 2.0.2 of the Chrome Web Store extension makes the toolbar popup tidier and more useful.

    • On an ome.tv tab where the overlay is not running yet, the popup shows a Load on this tab button. This helps most when auto-load is turned off.
    • Open ome.tv switches to an ome.tv tab you already have open instead of opening a second one that would fight it for your camera.
    • The main button now sits right under your status, so you no longer scroll to find it.
    • The same reminder no longer fills the activity list. Repeats show once with a count, and the list stays folded until you open it.
    • Long labels in some languages no longer stretch the popup sideways.
    ImprovedChat

Chat starts in your own country's room

The first time you open chat you land in the room for your country, or in Global when we cannot tell. Once you pick a room yourself, that choice is remembered.

The chat column was tidied up too: messages from one person in a row are grouped under one name, the time sits next to the name, and the message box looks like ome.tv's own. More messages fit on screen.

    FixedOverlay

Sharpen the stranger's video now always works

    • Turning on "Sharpen the stranger's video" now sharpens the picture for every stranger. Before, it stayed on "Waiting for a stranger" and did nothing when the stranger's video was already close to the size of your video area.
    • The status row goes back to waiting when the stranger leaves, instead of still showing the last size.
    FixedCases

Daily missions say why Claim is greyed out

A finished daily mission with a greyed out Claim button now tells you what is still missing, such as the total lookups your account needs before cases pay out.

  18. NewOverlay

Skip strangers whose video is choppy

A new camera rule skips a stranger whose picture stays below a frame rate you choose (5, 10 or 15 frames a second) for five seconds. It only judges the first 30 seconds of a call, so a conversation is never cut off halfway. It is free on every account and costs no lookups.

    NewCamera and sound

Replace your background, and mask your voice

    • The background effect can now do more than blur. Swap the room for a plain colour (a green screen is one of them) or for a picture of your own. Your picture stays in your browser and is never uploaded. Camera effects come with VIP.
    • A voice mask makes your voice deeper, higher, robotic or like a walkie talkie. Switch on "Hear my voice" to listen to what the stranger hears (headphones help). A paired phone and your party friends hear the same masked voice.
    ImprovedOverlay

Safe View reacts faster, and party friends are told when they are hidden

A camera that starts dark and then shows something explicit is now covered within about a second. Before, it could stay on screen for up to seven.

When the party content check hides a friend's picture, their phone now says so, instead of leaving them talking into a camera the stranger sees as black.

  19. FixedOverlay

    The overlay fits smaller windows

    • On smaller windows the location map sits beside the info panel instead of covering its buttons.
    • The control bar wraps onto a second row instead of running off the video.
    • Closing a panel with the keyboard puts focus back on its button.
    • IP addresses wrap between their groups instead of mid number, and a note shows its whole subject and date.
  20. NewPayments

    Top up with Dogecoin

Dogecoin (DOGE) joins the crypto payment options. Like the others, you get your own deposit address, the rate is locked when you place the order, and your balance is credited automatically once the payment is confirmed.

    ImprovedWebsite

A cleaner look for the site and the overlay

The site and the overlay now use one typeface, Geist, at every size. Buttons are a little shorter, panels share one soft light from above, and a handful of small visual bugs are gone, including clipped numbers and buttons that drifted out of their frames.

    FixedOverlay

A lighter overlay, and no more trouble at the daily reset

    • The overlay uses roughly half as much processor time when idle. The globe no longer repaints at your monitor's full rate.
    • An overlay left open across the daily reset (06:00 Warsaw time) no longer gets your connection blocked.
    • A free account that ran out of lookups gets them back at the reset without reloading the page.
    • A short burst of rate limiting no longer locks a free account out for the rest of the day.
    • If you buy VIP while ome.tv is open, the overlay notices and offers a one click reload.
  21. NewParty and Link

Friends' cameras are checked before the stranger sees them

A friend's camera goes out through your ome.tv session, so anything they show counts against you. Every friend's picture now starts covered and is shown once it has passed two checks. If something explicit appears, it is covered again and you get a popup naming the friend. The check runs on your own computer.

    ImprovedCamera and sound

Background blur can follow your outline

The background blur used to keep an oval around your face sharp. Switch on "Follow my outline" and it keeps your whole outline sharp instead, so raised hands, hair and leaning stay in focus. The first use downloads the model once (about 12 MB). Camera effects come with VIP.

  22. FixedParty and Link

    Steadier parties and phone pairing

    • A party no longer closes itself an hour after it starts.
    • Refusing a phone revokes it and shows a fresh code straight away.
    • On the phone page, a refused join is said at once and Stop stays stopped. Small text is easier to read.
    • Copy buttons across the site now say so when the browser refuses to copy.
  23. ImprovedDiscord

Clearer help when Discord verification is stuck

If your account is still waiting on Discord, the dashboard now names the exact step you are stuck on: accepting the server rules, rejoining the server, or pressing Verify in #verify. The welcome message in Discord opens with the same step and a button straight to #verify.
